This set offers a nostalgic and engaging building experience for fans of the classic Jaws movie. While the intricate details and display options are impressive, some guests found the bow construction to be delicate and challenging. Despite these concerns, many enjoyed the overall design and creativity involved in the build. The set is a great conversation piece and a fun project for both new and experienced builders, making it a worthwhile addition to any collection.

Genuinely enjoyable build
Prior to buying this I seen a lot of reviews about the building quality of the front of the boat as it is a separate section you piece together. However, I had no issues at all with this part of the build. There is a cool sliding effect to attach both parts together and they clicked in place. It was sturdy and did not move. I had a really good time building this it has been one of my favourite sets to build and it looks fantastic. My only slight issue with the build is the rope sections. I found it easy to get them in place and tie them off but you can't tighten them too much as the pressure on the mast makes it bend out of place. After doing the ropes there are some sections where you have to flip the boat upside down to add parts and ropes easily come loose during this time but they are easy enough to loop back on.

Amazing Set
Very fun build and true to the movie. Tons of details and the base is amazingly detailed. The only problem is the bow, it can be very delicate, but an easy touch and careful atteniton to detail, it slides right in and will stay stuck. The bow of the ORCA can be finiky, a 4x4 black face at the front of the bow solved any problems

Love it!
This is the first kit I've built since I was a kid, nearly 40 years and I love it! Easy and fun to build, and looks great. Some small fiddly bits here and there but I have none popping off as others have experienced, even with the aftermarket light kit fitted. I love the little details such as chum bucket, gas tanks, cage etc. The only small quibble is that the Orca doesn't attach to the display base. A must for any Jaws fan.

A Bit Tricky, but It's JAWS!!!
This build was really fun, everything had a place and fit in--great for my OCD. Although--I have no idea who designed the bow of the boat, as there's no good way to secure each side of it without dislodging some pieces. Then you hope that whatever forces at work make it stay. It was a most delicate and challenging build. I started to really enjoy it, even when things came off and I had to put them back. And it was fun! I love Jaws and this set delivers! It somewhat reminds me of the Vespa build in it's fragility, but it's more fun! This is one of my favorite sets when finished! It is fun, funny and quite an accomplishment. Give it a try!

The shark is the problem
Why make me put the shark on the display stand, only to make me pull it apart and put half of it on the ocean part at the end of the build? It completely fell apart when pulling! Bad instructions and design shark-wise. The boat is nice.

Immersive experience
Two thirds through this build and already feeling ( like a good book) sad that I’m coming to the end of this build. It’s been some 45 ish years since my last Lego set and had forgotten how brilliant they are both technically and, with age, how good they are for mindfulness. Thank you Lego 😍 bring on the next one.

Shaaaaaaaark
One of the most unique sets I’ve purchased. This is a collectors build and a build for all, even the younger ones. An outstanding piece of LEGO perfection. The true beauty lies within the bricks. The perfect way to create a masterpiece again. Thank you team LEGO.

The item might be great, but it’s how it was received that was the issue. The box looked as those it had been opened and re-taped. Made the return to the store immediately.

Worst Set Ever
I am an experienced LEGO builder. I have built both Disney Castles! And 100's of other sets. I am now complete and hate this set. 1) The shark's (Bruce) tail will not stay on. Why did you design the set where the tail falls off so easily? It would not have taken many pieces to make that more secure. And easy to remove if you want to display the shark on the water base. 2) The boats bow keeps coming apart. It is very loose, and I rebuilt the front several times trying to improve it. 3) The rigging - I can't keep the rigging lines on the boat. There should be an attachment piece above the wheel of the pully system that helps hold it in place. 4) When I got to the last bags, the instructions in the app did not tell me to open both of the last two bags at the same time. Poor instructions. 5) I have no clue how to attach the boat to the water base without it easily sliding off. And the instructions were unclear. Pitiful work Lego. Pitiful.

Fiddly But Fun
Probably the fiddliest set ever, especially with all the strings and stern, but a very cool payoff. Recommend to any Jaws fan.

Fundamentally flawed
The Jaws set is frustratingly flawed in the bow. It is flimsy and has key components held on by a single stud. I had no expectations of playing with this, but the bow is too flimsy to survive later build steps. My suggestion is that the stays for mast need to be attached to the bow much earlier in the build or preferably a redesign of the weak section. Very disappointing.
