Of all the sets I've done, this one definitely looks the coolest, but was by far the most frustrating to assemble. Quite a few parts are held together by a single stud/contact point and fall apart very easily.

Not sure how bag 4 got through QA but the bow build was horrible. Any hint of force to get the bow to stick to the base causes the whole thing to break apart. I thought it was me but after seeing the reviews it’s clearly a design flaw. I wish I could return this. I have built every soccer stadium and other complex designs and had a blast. This was outright expensive torture. Lastly, enough with the stickers. You have already proven capable of painting on the blocks. The stickers make it look and feel cheap

This is definitely one of the more challenging sets I’ve built, and I’ve built 200+ sets. In many ways, this reminds me of the last VW camper van: that set was really finicky to build, but if you were patient (and an experienced builder), the finicky nature resulted in a really challenging and REALLY fun build, just like this “Jaws” set. However, if you are new to LEGO or just a casual builder, this one will test your patience. Ultimately, I’d say this is a terrific build, but definitely not for everyone.

In my 50 years of building Lego sets, this is by far the most ineptly designed build. The pieces that are supposed to secure bow to boat are simply ineffective. I have tossed the boat pieces in my extra pieces storage. Was looking forward to purchasing the new boat, but now I am highly skeptical.

I’m sorry to need to agree with several other reviews here - this set has a fatal design flaw in the bow which means inner parts simply fall apart as other bricks are added. I’ve just tried for the fifth time to get it to work, no luck yet again. No matter how careful I am, the same problem again and again. I don’t think Lego’s response to others (“please contact us to help you troubleshoot the build”) is anywhere near good enough. There needs to be acknowledgment of the flaws in this design.
