Love the nod to STEM

Absolutely love this build. Really enjoyed the Easter eggs, the Morse Code and Color chart. As a lefty, I didn't mind the DNA strand not going in the traditional direction. Appreciate the inclusivity, loved the George Washington Carver minifig.

Brilliant

So many tiny details make this set unique and brilliant. I choose to keep the Morse code and color spectrum displayed. I simply took the cover pieces off and added them to my Lego bucket. Love the flying bee, the DNA strand (spins), and carbon molecule (goes up & down), and all the other major symbols of science breakthroughs represented. symbols of science breakthroughs represented. Absolutely one of my favorite Lego sets.

Love except the BEE

As a science nerd I was so excited for this set and it didn’t disappoint. My only complaint was keeping the bee together. As someone who’s completed many large sets (Home Alone, Goonies, Jack Sparrow ship) this was the absolute most frustrating part of any LEGO build I’ve done. I didn’t glue him but I sure was tempted. Whew. Otherwise it’s fun and I recommend. Just know, you need your patience for that bee.

AVOID...

Great concept idea. Lot's of Cool ideas crammed into a "diorama" display set. Unfortunately build experience does is not up to quality. The spin around feature of the DNA helix along with the bob up n down carbon atom is bot well executed. Numerous underlying, structure pieces don't fit well and they affect the "book surface". Misalignment causes pieces to pop off when pressed. My initial interest for this LEGO set has is now simply regret.. thumbs down Lego...

This set was amazingly done! The book captured many aspects and values of the science community that many future students who have an interest in STEM would find astonishing. As a Biochem major, I personally loved putting this set together and displaying it in my study room.

A top favorite

This has to be my son’s top favorite build he’s done! All about STEM, including a rotating center for the DNA strand and a couple hidden spots to reveal! Absolute genius design. My son’s only request is that it came with all the scientists, engineers, and inventors as mini figures. That would have made this complete. He has it displayed on his bookmaker, alongside his mineral Lego build. Fantastic addition to the Lego collection!
