LEGO Ideas Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory 21360

When I first saw this set, I thought it looked mediocre. However, after building it I can say that it was extremely fun to build, includes some wonderful minifigures and references, and seems more impressive in person than it does in pictures. It has a lot to offer, and you're always building something new, so it almost never feels repetitive. The chocolate waterfall is a wonderful inclusion that I'm glad they carried over from the original submission. Everything about this set is as whimsical as it should be!

I received this set as a Christmas present and I absolutely loved building it. I love the attention to detail, such as the lickable wallpaper and the moving waterfall. I’ve watched the movie more times than I care to admit and this set is very true to it. Bravo!

This kept falling apart as we were putting it together. Not the typical build quality we are used to from Lego - was very frustrating at times. In the end it looks great but not worth the effort and frustration especially at this price.

I've been building Lego for 40 years and my son for 10. This was the worst build we've ever done. Set was missing 4 pieces and some of the build was awkward especially the boat. The waterfall is cool and there are some good play elements, but overall not worth it.

This is a really pleasingly thought out set that really stays true to the film. I love the floral candy elements and waterfall, and the characters are just perfect. Love it.

Awesome set had a great time as an adult builder and fan of the movies.

Box came in opened and damaged ! Definitely not what I would expect after paying 235 for a product ! I will be ordering from LEGO from now on

Most of my building progress was perfect, but when I was on the boats bag, I found out I lost a piece, and everywhere I looked, it wasn't there, but asides from that and the 6 hours it took for me to build, I really enjoy the set

I love to play the movies and build and listen to music. Little speedy but no regrets. A few moments of figuring it out as a newbie but happy with purchase. P

such an amazing Lego set my son wanted this and even though this is for adults, he is only nine years old and this was his Christmas wish and he did a fantastic job, putting it all together, took him quite some time, but the moving chocolate waterfall and all the characters in the boat, it’s just adorable

Class myself as a Lego enthusiast an absolutely loved building this set. Definitely a fun build and definitely one to keep and hand down and never sell. Love it.

One of my favourite movies of all time, who wouldnt want to eat everything you could touch, this piece captures what Willy Wonka was about and I really enjoyed taking the time to put it together and reflect on the movie. The only negative is the price point, I absolutely wanted this piece but feel the price was a little on the higher side

Great Lego kit. I laughed at the box in a box for the shipping, but it didn’t affect the fast and secure shipping, just overkill. My son loved receiving his Christmas gift and had it finished on Christmas Day.

As a longtime LEGO builder w decades of experience & countless sets completed, I was very much looking forward to this build. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing enough that this may be the last new LEGO set I choose to purchase. No seriously. While the theme & overall idea are strong, the execution fell short. Several bricks were unusually difficult to connect & required more force than should be necessary. Even after assembly, some connections tend to pop loose. I have built generic brick sets whose pieces connected better than this, that I had to check several times to make sure I was building authentic Lego set. A few build steps also felt out of order, making sections more difficult than necessary. The packaging for small pieces was also frustrating. The paper bags make it easier to miss parts, & for a set of this size & THIS MANY little pieces, the clear bags are simply more practical. The piece count also feels inflated by an OVERUSE of very small elements, which affects the overall value. Plus sooo many extras when additional elements could have been added to set. From a design perspective, it felt like a missed opportunity not to have the boat attach to the chocolate river, as someone who displays vs plays..... Overall, this set had HUGE icon potential & a fun concept, but quality, build flow, & design decisions held it back. I expected a more refined experience from a premium LEGO release, especially one tied to such an iconic theme. Appreciate the attempt but left so disappointed that I didn't even bother putting people out. If I had, they'd have gone in the empty area.

This is a fun build. It is intricate and detailed and the directions are easy to follow .

The waterfall gets stuck and unfunctional. Many other reviews say the same. For the price, it should have no non-working parts.
