The forever Set
I bought and built this set last July, and it was definitely a high-level, advanced build that tested my skill level at the time. Despite the challenge, it was an absolute blast to put together. The process was incredibly engaging—I loved discovering all the hidden Easter eggs throughout the build and learning from the fun historical facts scattered throughout the instructions. My only minor critique was that I wished the tower structures had been built a bit sturdier or anchored together more strongly. That being said, the finished model looks fantastic and makes an excellent display piece, especially for filling out space on an entertainment center. It was well worth the money, and I'm really glad I tackled it!

Fun set
This was a lot of fun to put together! The only minor complaint was the final tower piece. Once built, it just kinda sits there and isn't super secure. I display my builds in a cabinet, so no worries on it moving.

Thanks for letting us know how much fun you had building the Neuschwanstein Castle. If the tower doesn't seem very sturdy, it's best to double-check your build. Sometimes there may be a piece slightly off from where it should be. You’ll also want to make sure that all the pieces are pressed tightly together. Feel free to reach out to us at LEGO.build/Service if you need assistance!

Very Nice
Beautiful set, I love the replaceable trees for when autumn comes around and the set itself is a great decoration.

Beautiful, but some odd color choices
I visited this castle recently and was excited to build this. It's a beautiful set, but the colors don't really match the real thing, which has more gray walls and a blue-ish roof. Why not go with those more authentic colors? Look at any photos of the castle and you'll see what I mean. Genuinely curious about the creative choices here. The landscape elements are beautiful and feel just right. Thanks!

too many window pieces!
I like the set, some of the instructions were difficult to tell in places which way blocks forming the rock cliffs/hill were facing, so I had to go back a few steps later and turn them around. Those windows! They were the bane of my existence!! 166 single windows that had to be placed on 166 cube bricks was absolutely annoying! I understand the castle has a ton of windows, but as others have said, why not print them on the block like the triple windows were printed???? It's pretty annoying (tedious and BORING) to have to place 166 flat plates on the 166 cubed blocks. (I may have miscounted, but it felt like WAY TOO MANY...). I don't know if the purpose was to get the piece count up to justify the price, but it felt tedious and boring. I really liked the way the rocks and cliffs contrasted, especially with the autumn leaves, and it has a nice look. Those windows, do away with that! Overall, happy with the build (except the windows) and I moved the title lego to another side to be seen in my shelf setup better.

Fun Build!
This was a great and fun build. I recently got into legos as a hobby and this was high on my list. Smooth build, all pieces were there and it went together without issue despite what some reviewers say.

Incredibly Detailed Model
Ignore the people giving 1 star reviews because their base collapses - if you build it properly and check it before, during and after adding the building sections you will not have any problems. I expect that the Lego designers spent many hours creating this model, and their base design obviously was chosen for a reason. Having been to this castle I can say that it is an amazing reproduction in such a reduced scale made solely from plastic bricks! Another great addition to the Architecture range - well done!

Pretty good
I got this set as a Christmas present from my mum and the size is pretty good, along with the building experience. The only con was the somewhat grueling experience of making the trees. This set doesn’t really have a play feature as it is a display set, nevertheless, an extremely beautiful set to have in your household.

Kings Castle
I have been to the real castle several times. This set does it extremely well, the accuracy and detail are way better then any I've seen or expected. I hope you make sets of Linderhof and the King's House on Sachen. That would made a great collection!

I bought the Neuschwanstein Castle for my son who is in the Navy, for Christmas! He is a Lego fan and absolutely loved the gift. He couldn’t wait to build it! Beautiful castle to say the least! Thank you so much!

Beautiful model, instructions could be improved
My wife and I bought this as a compromise, she loves jigsaw puzzles & I don’t, but we wanted a shared quiet, focusing activity. Our son was a huge Lego Star Wars fan, and at 27 still has his Lego Death Star. This was a challenge to build, some of the instructional drawings didn’t give the best perspective of the pieces or how the fit together, especially when building both sides of a section that were not identical. Also telling the colors of some of the parts was somewhat difficult when you have a bag with several different shades of the same color family. I also agree with other reviewers about the large tower’s stability, any movement of the model and you can see it wobble. I will probably take it apart and add some “sticky-tack” poster adhesive to a few of the joints where the shafts connect, and where it connects to the base, in order to stop the wobbles. All in all though, we really did enjoy the project, and will display it in our home. We have already purchased Himeji Castle for our next one. I wish that the US Capitol & White House models were still available, as we would like to build those too.

Beautiful but…
It looks beautiful I love the castle and the overall build but it is one of the worst case of inflated pieces count and it really need to stop! Almost every piece is 1x1 and even in places where it makes no sense. There is so many places where there is a 1x1 that should have been 2 x 1 and it makes the build less sturdy. I’ve had walls fall apart multiple times because they used tiny parts instead of proper 1×2 bricks that would have fixed the issue. I’ve been waiting for this set for a long time, and it really does look great in my collection, but the actual build experience was infuriating. Not because it was difficult, but because I genuinely felt cheated.

Great build - and a nice display piece
I've had a soft spot for Schloss N since I was a kid. This set nicely does the original justice. First architecture set I've built - I really like the smaller scale and finer detail. A lot of thought (and skill !) has clearly gone into the design. The 3D building instructions in the builder app really come into their own on a complex 3D build like this ( I always use the builder app now). The end result makes a really nice display piece.

Completely unenjoyable
I LOVE the architecture series. But this was an absolute abomination. So many of the studs and bricks were left hanging intentionally, with a completely hollow inner shell. The instructions had 3 "major" errors, and it took several attempts to rectify the missing/erroneous parts. Compared to Notre Dame, this was a TERRIBLE purchase. Do better lego.
