Epic
Not only was this an amazing build, the history behind the Castle was amazing. Building something that is patterned after something real makes the experience that much better.

Damaged
Product came damaged. Looks like someone used the box as a punching bag. Now I have to waste time returning it and waiting for a replacement.

Tedious build
I was really looking forward to this build and the overall result is ok (Fall colors look better), but the scale is so small that you end up with sooo many tiny individual bricks. I would normally have a completed a build this size in a week or so...this took me over a month and I built two other sets in the interim. It was just hard to get into it. One of the bags also had 5 of the wrong pieces (supposed to be solid sand single round pieces and they were gold perforated pieces that didn't match the surrounding brick). I scavenged from my smalls leftovers from many other sets for all but one, but was still kind of annoying. By contrast, the Botanical Garden and Gumball Machine were fun builds. It does go well into my "travel memories" collection, but if you're just looking for a fun build, lego has some better options.

A perfect architecture set!
Definitely one of the best builds I've done in a while, for the small windows, I didn't find them annoying so I practically just zoned out while putting them on haha!

Not for the faint of heart
The castle is pieced together on four single rail bricks that balance on one link on each end. There is no support under the middle of the structure and it is virtually impossible to snap the individual builds into place without risk of total collapse. Definitely not a beginner build - needs to be a builder with lots of extra bricks on hand to stabilize the structure properly from the start.

Amazing work completing the set, it couldn't have been easy! We're sorry to hear that you've found difficulty keeping the set together during your build. If you wish to rebuild the set, we'd suggest double checking your build as there may be a piece slightly off from where it should be and make sure each piece is pressed tightly together. So that the build doesn't totally collapse when connecting the individual builds. Please reach out to us at LEGO.build/Service-BV so our brickhelpers can help with any guidance with your set and keep the castle walls standing strong!

Neuschwanstein Castle
Half way done. Up to this point clear direction pieces fit seamlessly. Me and wife have lots of fun putting it together. Brought back memories of visiting the real castle back in the late 80's.

To many small windows
The majority of your time will be attempting to straighten the small windows (why not print the small windows onto 1x1 bricks), what a missed opportunity for a 10/10 set.

Not happy
This is the 2nd item I have received and pieces are missing. When I tried to get the missing piece they wound not send it because I have gone over the limit of requesting missing pieces.

Really Fun Build
This is one of the better builds I've done. The designs were very straight forward and there weren't any complex patterns or connections. The build went together extremely fast for me.

Fantastic realistic model of Neuschwanstein Castle
A fun build and fantastic representation of the castle. I read other reviews on here and was concerned about the build stability but I am happy to say the finished build is pretty stable. It doesn't rely on a baseplate but is built up from smaller bricks to form the overall structure. There are some gaps in the build where pieces are skipped where you would normally expect them which I thought would make it unstable, but it is not too bad I think this was done to reduce the weight of the model. The details and colours of the set are fantastic and true to the real castle. I went with the autumn colours which provide a more colourful end model

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, we're happy to hear you enjoyed the building experience! The autumn colored trees definitely stand out well in your picture.

Really Good Build
My wife and I really enjoyed building this. she did the left pages and I did the right. Having been to the actual Castle this was very accurate. Great detail. My only disappointment is with the pine trees. and there are a few steps in the book i felt like they were just trying to over 600 steps, because 3 steps on one page each had one piece. it was not that complex a sub build. Some of the cool interior details were fun to build but disappear after being built. A removable or hinged wall would have been nice

Nice
For starters, it’s an interesting build with what I consider to be little repetition. The end product makes for a nice display. I realize they may be necessary for the designer to achieve the desired look, but the number of flowers and flower parts is overwhelming. Just add up the number. There are hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of flower parts. Also, they will use two 1x1 bricks next to each other rather than simply one 1x2 brick. Unlike some, I didn’t find any stability issues or difficulty in connecting pieces and having them stay put.

Just an okay build
I agree with a lot of the comments about stability or lack there of. It was a good idea but the structure is not sturdy like most of the builds I’ve done before. It has great detail on the castle but not the landscape and courtyard.
