So close to perfection
This set is truly amazing, I can’t really find anything wrong with it except for one thing. The nose wheel lifts off the ground ever so slightly. This is easily overlooked on the stand however, making the set a beautiful display piece and it can also be played with to some degree when wanted

Great set with major flaws
This set is awesome at first glance, but then when you start building it, you realize how flimsy it is and the stand is the worst part. Lego created a great set and then ended up putting it on the worst stand.

Thank you for sharing your building experience! It must be frustrating building your set while it's feeling flimsy. If you decide to revisit your build, we'd suggest double checking it as there may be a piece slightly off from where it's meant to be. Make sure to press each piece tightly together! Please reach out at LEGO.build/Service-BV so our brick-helpers can help troubleshoot it with you.

Good proportions. Sturdy model. Odd 747 paint job.
I have read some other reviews stating that the proportions are off and the model is fragile. I respectfully disagree with both of those comments. What is sort of inaccurate (and why I rated it only four stars) is that 747 N905NA still had most of its American Airlines paint scheme throughout flight testing of the Shuttle Enterprise, so those two aircraft only appeared with the depicted paint schemes for transport of Enterprise after its test flights were completed, like when it was transported to its final exhibit location.

Excellent set
Received this in the mail a couple days ago. Started building immediately. Two days in and I'm almost halfway. The attention to detail is just plain amazing. Love the functioning landing gear on the 747 too.

I think that Lego should add the 6th engines because the real antonov an-225 has 6 engines

Shame about the Engines
Bought this after building Apollo Saturn V and Concorde. Very enjoyable build and a great model. Except for one thing...those engines. They truly are atrocious, I know LEGO is LEGO and we have to accept the complexities of some shapes and angles. But come on, they look like they have come out of the LEGO City parts bin. A simple cowling is all it needed just so the fan isn't right at the front. A truly awesome build let down by one trivial, yet monumental oversight.

Loved it
It is so cool, and evrything about it is great. The plane is nice and sturdy, plus the landing gear is absolutely awesome considering how compact the whole thing is. It is also a great value for how well designed it is. It also looks great on the stand. The space shuttle on top also looks awesome, its so cool how you can put the engine and wheels inside of the shuttle. If you are looking for a lego set for someone who likes planes this is a great option.

Simply Amazing!
One of my best Lego experiences to date, and the set I have to credit with getting me back into building! Aside from the sheer elegance of the 747 and Lego's impressively realistic replication of the design, I was blown away by the number of play or display options that come with this set. The operational landing gear, similar to the mechanism used in the Concorde set, was especially impressive, as well as the way the two wings are mounted to the fuselage of the aircraft. And, while symmetrical, at no point did the build feel boring or monotonous. Without a doubt another great space themed set, hoping to see more airplane-focused sets in the future!

Design correction of a mostly good idea
This design was good except the stabilizers were too big so I corrected this by taking them off the plane and reducing the size before remounting them. The stand is also hard to use when it is mounted on a low surface like a coffee table as it's hard to do the proper alignment by feel.

Just a hair under Phenomenol
The bad news is that my set was missing a piece. Luckily it was under the belly of the plane. Otherwise, the build was fun and the results are amazing.
