Beautiful model
This is a beautiful model of the Notre Dame cathedral in Paris. The detailing is excellent and care is taken to make the inside beautiful as well with floors, columns, and arches. The instructions were easy to follow for the most part with a scattering on interesting historical tidbits. My set was not missing any pieces. There are some repetitive steps and a lot of connecting 1x1 plates and bricks, so you need to be careful to align them together using a hard surface. You can occasionally lose a piece inside when you are working near the top, but I found it was sturdy enough to pick up and flip upside down to get the loose piece out. The removable roof is a nice touch since you spend a lot of time on the inside. Not quite perfect since the flying buttresses don’t connect on both ends and there is some gapping at the apse/curved end, but it is still amazingly beautiful to behold. 4.9/5.0

My Personal Cathedral
Obviously, there are no gargoyles but the detail is still amazing! It was so much fun to put together and the addition of historical information about the actual construction was really interesting. I've never seen the actual cathedral but that'll happen yet. My only concern was with the instructions. I don't use the book but rather prefer to use the online instructions. There was one page missing from the online "book" and I was forced to turn to paper in order to complete a portion.

First Lego set for myself
1/3 done and enjoying it! Easy to follow directions. Building this prior to our upcoming trip to Paris. Process has made me even more excited about visiting the cathedral in person.

Absolutely Gorgeous
Wow what a set. The details of this set are incredible and it is one of my favorite sets to show to my friends and family. The build can be very tedious at times but still a very fun build and very much one of the best prices you’ll find on a high piece count Lego. I cannot recommend this enough.

Amazing Architecture Set
This was my first LEGO Architecture set and it is simply incredible. There are so many details included when building the model like in the interior with columns and a checkered floor and the outside like the statues on the roof representing the apostles. The instruction booklet provides so many interesting historical facts about Notre Dame, and the overall building experience is great. My only small complaint would be how delicate sometimes you have to be with the model just in terms of being careful with so many small pieces. Sometimes you have to be careful how hard you press when attaching those smaller pieces or not to whack other parts of the model when building. However, that’s to be expected with such a detailed model, and overall, this was an amazing, near perfect architecture set and looks fantastic as a display piece! Would recommend especially for more advanced LEGO builders and history/architecture enthusiasts.

Fabulous
Absolutely loved building this. I was a bit daunted by the size of the cathedral but I found it very straightforward to build. Wonderful details to the building, it looks amazing now it’s completed. Expensive to buy but really satisfying to build.

Masterpiece
One of the best Lego sets I have ever built. It is visually stunning and will draw anyone’s eyes to it when they pass by. Slow and steady is the best way to build this set do not rush enjoy the time it takes for completion. Also read the interesting historical facts in the booklet as you build. It makes the experience more organic. There are sod headache part especially at the beginning and yes some steps can be repetitive but stick with it, you will be glad that you did.

Absolutely Love This Kit
This was one of the best kits to build and admire. I built Falling Water years ago and has remained my favorite, but this one gives it a run for the money. The build was really fun and the results are outstanding. Everyone comments on how beautiful it is. You would think trying to get anything close to impressive out of a Lego version of a gothic cathedral would be a fools errand, but Lego pulled it off. I now have a light kit in it and, wow, just wow

Looks great on the shelf, great value for money and, despite a quite repetive build, it is worth it.

Suggestion
I would recommend that you build steps 289-294 directly onto the cathedral. I followed the directions and built it separately, then tried to attach it. I found it difficult to line it up and attach it snugly.
