Amazing Architecture Set
This was my first LEGO Architecture set and it is simply incredible. There are so many details included when building the model like in the interior with columns and a checkered floor and the outside like the statues on the roof representing the apostles. The instruction booklet provides so many interesting historical facts about Notre Dame, and the overall building experience is great. My only small complaint would be how delicate sometimes you have to be with the model just in terms of being careful with so many small pieces. Sometimes you have to be careful how hard you press when attaching those smaller pieces or not to whack other parts of the model when building. However, that’s to be expected with such a detailed model, and overall, this was an amazing, near perfect architecture set and looks fantastic as a display piece! Would recommend especially for more advanced LEGO builders and history/architecture enthusiasts.

Fabulous
Absolutely loved building this. I was a bit daunted by the size of the cathedral but I found it very straightforward to build. Wonderful details to the building, it looks amazing now it’s completed. Expensive to buy but really satisfying to build.

Masterpiece
One of the best Lego sets I have ever built. It is visually stunning and will draw anyone’s eyes to it when they pass by. Slow and steady is the best way to build this set do not rush enjoy the time it takes for completion. Also read the interesting historical facts in the booklet as you build. It makes the experience more organic. There are sod headache part especially at the beginning and yes some steps can be repetitive but stick with it, you will be glad that you did.

Absolutely Love This Kit
This was one of the best kits to build and admire. I built Falling Water years ago and has remained my favorite, but this one gives it a run for the money. The build was really fun and the results are outstanding. Everyone comments on how beautiful it is. You would think trying to get anything close to impressive out of a Lego version of a gothic cathedral would be a fools errand, but Lego pulled it off. I now have a light kit in it and, wow, just wow

Cool
Looks great on the shelf, great value for money and, despite a quite repetive build, it is worth it.

Suggestion
I would recommend that you build steps 289-294 directly onto the cathedral. I followed the directions and built it separately, then tried to attach it. I found it difficult to line it up and attach it snugly.

Great but not very stable
I love the look. It is definitely a display set. The base is not very stable. I tried moving it from one table to another and the bottom separated in places. So once you get it you might want to leave it in one spot. Still looks great

Beautiful and fun architectural set
I loved Legos as a kid in the 90s, and now that I'm a parent I've enjoyed spending time building with my kids. I purchased this one for myself, and it was a lot of fun to put together. I really enjoyed the detailed architecture and the individual bags were a huge help in spacing out the build over a few weeks. I could build a bag or two per night and keep things tidy. It's a gorgeous set, perfect as a display piece in my office. The fun I had with this set made me go ahead and purchase some other massive sets. I hope Lego produces more sets like this! I love the huge piece count and architectural details.

Notre Dame
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] An enjoyable build that was well designed and is a great replica of the cathedral. The landscaping was the only fault, but I will use some spares from other sets to create a more interesting surrounds.

Well Designed Build
A lot of very small pieces but an enjoyable build. 2 pieces were missing and two more differed in colour. Quickly replaced by Lego. The aerials on the roof look out of place but otherwise the end result is authentic despite obvious differences with the real thing. The models interior looks great but one only has a limited view once the model is complete.

This was a great build for me. It took three days for me. As a Senior it helps keep my mine sharp. The tiny pieces are great for working my fingers. Enjoy lego builds.

Outstanding Lego
My wife and I are experienced builders, with a large variety of age 18+ sets. For us, this turned out to be an outstanding build, exceeding our expectations. The assembly was particularly satisfying and the intricate details of the model fascinating. The designer has done an excellent job translating the real cathedral into Lego. As far as cons, as noted in other reviews, much of the construction is necessarily repetitive (as you'd expect). But for us, the satisfaction far outweighed this unavoidable con. Despite the complexity and intricacy of this model, the instructions were clear and assembly was straight forward. One caution: avoid dropping pieces into the partially assembled building. Dropped pieces have a tendency to wedge themselves into the detailed interior (lots of pillars), forcing you to partly disassemble the building to retrieve (or even find) the dropped piece.

Dream Display Piece
Absolutely stunning display piece. Building process can get a bit tedious at points with the sheer number of windows and a few other things but not too bad. Can be a bit of a finger destroyer with all the small pieces that need to be put together. Build process is incredibly rewarding with each stage being quite beautiful in it's own right despite being incomplete. Well worth the money.

Okay set
The Notre Dame Lego set comes out as a beautiful set however I came to find that it did not look that much like the real thing, sure it's a Lego set and the Notre Dame is a very intricate building but it is also the overall build did not completely look like it, I also found this build to be very repetitive which is expected with an architectural piece like this, the whole build is very fragile in every state and unfortunately this caused my set to break during the building process and the process of putting it back together was extremely tedious as it was harder than usual to tell where pieces came from. Overall I do think this is a good display item for my collection and it is a beautiful final product that also had an interesting build due to the build being in order of how the cathedral was actually built as well as the interesting facts scattered throughout the instruction booklet as well as the blocks representing materials actually used in building the Notre Dame. I would recommend this set to someone who is looking for this as a display piece only as well as someone who is ok with it being fragile and repetitive. Overall I do like the final product there is just a few things I noticed.
