LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle Toy 71043

I’m only on book 2 but the instructions are so poor! Struggling to see what goes where as the parts aren’t highlighted so you can see exactly where they are placed. Also no code for points?! What’s up with that.. I have done 100s of Lego sets but these are by far the worst instructions made especially for a set with SO many pieces. Also keep finding mistakes in the instructions.

Whilst the price is on the upper-end, you definitely won’t be disappointed. My wife and I built this together, of the course of a couple of months - we loved every minute of it. It’s a magical feeling when you recognise which sections of Hogwarts you’re building, even more so when it’s all together. We made a shelf for it above the stairs and installed lights - VERY happy with the result.

As an Harry Potter fan I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this!! Really enjoyed building it the detail was amazing though there would be more details in the great hall though. My only criticism would be that there was lots of micro figures but no recommendations on where to put them.

I loved how many references to the series that this build has. It really was fun to put together, and I'm glad I bought it! I went back and forth on getting this one or the smaller one, and after doing this one I know I made the right choice. If you are the kind of person willing to spend this kind of money on legos (I am), then don't wait. This set took a while, but didn't get monotonous. My cat did love stealing the turrets, though, so that has been interesting. I included a few photos of the build, but there is much more than I included.

The only down fall to the set doesnt cone with very many many mini figures considering the size of the castle and compared to how many that has come with other builds that where smaller

I adored this build. The price of lego is a bit excessive though…

The set is amazing but I had a lot of issues with the first instruction book, the pages were folded and had to rip the paper to been able to read the instructions and honestly for the price of the set I don’t think the quality control is accurate

Such an intricate build, I loved it so much. I built it several years ago but it is still one of my favorites. The details in the rooms were so fun to uncover as you were building them. Major showpiece in my house. On either side of my living room TV I have a large Lego castle. This on one and Disney on the other.

Best Lego set I’ve ever bought some people say but it’s microscale but if it was minfigure scale it would take up the whole room it’s sturdy and easy to move every single room is it’s own secret gem definitely 💯 5 ⭐️

Dumbledoor's tower is VERY unsturdy!! It will NOT stay on or together at all. He can't get pasted this point because all my son does is fix it non-stop. He has done MANY hard sets in his young age and this is by far the worst set ever!! It has gotten to the point where returning just may happen. This is very sad because this is one of his dream sets. 💔

In total I had 2 missing pieces and a missing sticker sheet and has to pause my building twice for 10 days totalling 20 days. Very disappointed as there need to be better quality control

This Lego set was really fun to build and the micro figures are pretty cool. Over all the set was an amazing LEGO. I highly recommend.

I recieved this as a gift for christmas after wanting for ages and it doesn't disappoint. I found it a wonderfully detailed set, especially things like the 'stained glass windows', taking bits from many of the different films. It was a fun experience to build and well worth it for any Harry Potter fan.

I started the Hogwarts castle and so far I’m loving it. I did have some difficulty putting the tower together because the pieces wouldn’t line up. But I’m up for the challenge to get it right and I love this set and anything Harry Potter ❤️🧙🏻🪄.

This product was bought for me for Christmas. Each bag opened contained many pieces that added the most smallest of details found throughout the story of Harry Potter. The set is quite large so be sure to have somewhere to put it. There were a two small pieces missing from one bag but I was able to find them within our Lego collection. This set took over 35 hours to complete and has not disappointed.

I received this Lego set as an early Christmas gift, this year, from my fiancé. I am a huge Lego fan, and a proud Hufflepuff. The building experience was absolutely amazing(being used with the Star Wars Lego franchise) and really enjoyed to built this magical castle. Loved all the Easter eggs, and all the nooks and crannies you can find in this wonderful set. A bit disappointed that they were no prints on the blocks and all just stickers, but judging this set was released in 2018, made me realise why Lego did that(the stickers were absolutely stunning). I did not mind the micro figures at all, as they are helping creating the bigger picture. It really felt magical to build it.

Took me 3 weeks of evenings to complete alone. Some points made me wa to to give up but once together glad I didn’t and looks great in my front room.

This lego set rocks. I am a big Harry Potter fan and I love everything about the set. Getting rid of the only negative is really the price is quite high, but this is expected with Lego being a high price hobby, but the amount of pieces and size of the overall set make up for this in my opinion. The play features are non existent, but that is expected. You are buying this set to display something amazing and this set more than delivers. There are so many little references and little key aspects that I just love. The little rocks that it sits on, the bridges that intertwine everything, the rotating staircases and you get exclusive minifgures with the houses founders and a ton of microfigures to enhance the scenes even more. This set rules and is proudly displayed in my collection in it's on thrown. Even if you are not the biggest Harry Potter fan, it still is a pretty dope castle. I can not recommend this set enough, and I ensure you that you will like it.

Love the build and the theme. The only issue I have is that the directions don’t highlight which pieces are placed where that step, so it’s kind of like a “where’s Waldo” to find where to place the pieces. We did another set before this and each piece placed for that step had a green outline which helped immensely. Maybe they could add that to this? Then it would be a 5 star. Either way, I’d recommend! Just pay closer attention.

I go back and forth with this set. Pro’s: This is a beautiful set to add to your Harry Potter collection. This set does fit all the rooms you would recognize from the books/movies. Con: for me because everything is so extra miniature it was almost boring, a red square represented a tiny book. Not as excited or enjoyable as I hoped. Because everything and everyone is so extra small it’s in a weird way less detail. This set is massive though so you have to make everything so small to fit all the details together. The only super mini figures I can figure out in Voldemort, Lupen, and Ms. Umbridge. Overall I like the finished product and excited to add the castle to my Harry Potter collection
