LEGO Jurassic World Dinosaur Fossils: Tyrannosaurus Rex 76968

Amazing build from start to finish took my 2 days to do which is the longest any set has ever taken me and would recommend for anyone who loves Jurassic park or just dinosaurs in general

Good value, great building experience, and an AWESOME display piece, this is the coolest set I've ever built, and I hope they release similar builds in the future.

I bought this set because my daughter loves dinosaurs and it did not disappoint. The build took me about 12 hours over a few evenings and it was such an enjoyable experience. The detail is incredible, with fun little references to the films that made it extra rewarding. The two minifigures look great displayed alongside the finished T. rex. It’s a massive build, but very sturdy once complete. Would definitely recommend.

My favorite set to build yet. Lots of details and the display is amazing

This dinosaur looks incredible once assembled. However the building of it is tedious and not much fun. Usually you see your creation take shape as you build it, for example building a vehicle you put the doors on, the windows, then the roof, then the wheels - but this just involves tons of beige blocks, you don't really have much of a clue what you're building at any given time, you get to the end and oh it's part of the leg. So it's not very exciting. Also disappointing was no Jeff Goldblum figure! I had to go and buy another set just to get him! :) It is certainly a magnificent centrepiece on the shelf of my dinosaur themed room, however. Also enjoyed the little easter egg :)

Purchased as a surprise activity to take on a UK family holiday and it was a big hit with all seven of us, grandparents, adult children and grandchild, with ages ranging from 8 years to 76 years. We all enjoyed working together on it and we were most impressed with the clear instructions, technical details and look of the finished build.

I haven't finished it yet, in fact I am only just opening bag 6, but already this has to be one of the best builds, and I have done many. The Easter eggs are a new thing and laughed when I saw the frog driving, then he was hidden away. Marvellous! Most excellent Lego.

Built this set with my two kids in honour of our summer vacation to the Royal Tyrrell Museum and seeing the amazing T-Rex fossils on display. So what better way then getting our own t-Rex! The build itself was enjoyable. Lots of colours mixed into the builds which make it easier to ensure your putting bricks in the right spot. Both kids helped sort and do mini builds (builds of individual pieces added to the set) and would alternate building bags. Allowed us to pick away at the set over a couple of weeks when we had time and kept build from being repetitive. Both kids really enjoyed the build and watching the t-Rex come to life! The head build was especially exciting and both kids got to add the teeth. The final build is simply amazing. It it huge! Bigger than my cat and looks very impressive. Family were surprise it was even Lego, until they got up close to it. I enjoyed the build, getting to build with my kids and the final product. TLDR: Fun and massively impressive set. Have a place to display it. Great for building with a partner (or two!)

Great fun to build! My question - I see that the lower jaw can be adjusted open/closed.... what about the entire skull itself? Can it be raised/lowered? or is it fixed?

My husband and I spent 12 summer evenings building this kit, two bags at a time. It was a lovely activity to do together, and the more technical bits that I find diffiuclt he finds easy and straightforward. We had an incredible time doing this together, and loved the little details like the frog. This is hands down my favourite kit we own to look at as it is now built, and my favourite kit to build.

Make sure you read the dimensions I didn't and struggled to find space but still a fun build

First, kudos to the design team. Pure genius to take a bunch of Lego bricks and convert them to a T-Rex! My only issue is I found the assembly of the legs to the body via the "ball and joint" connection to be very difficult

I had to binge the Jurassic Park movies while building this. This was a fun build, not difficult and it went quickly. I highly recommend this for anyone into fossils, dinosaurs or the movies.

Really fun to put together the set is huge and looks really good with other sets like the Trike fossil. Getting the bones aligned perfect was a fun challenge, it is more of a display than play set though.

This is one of the best sets I have ever build and it looks absolutely fantastic.
