A Precision-Built Bonding Experience
Building the LEGO® Technic Mercedes-AMG F1 W14 E Performance was far more than assembling bricks—it was a shared journey of discovery, patience, and joy. I had the privilege of constructing this intricate model with my kids and juniors, and the experience was nothing short of transformative. Quality Time That Builds More Than a Model From the very first step, this set invited collaboration. Each phase of the build became an opportunity to teach and learn—whether it was interpreting the manual, identifying parts, or troubleshooting together. It fostered teamwork, communication, and a sense of accomplishment that grew with every completed module. Engineering Education in Disguise The backend mechanics of the W14 are brilliantly designed. As we explored the suspension system, differential gears, and aerodynamic shaping, the kids gained hands-on insight into real-world engineering principles. It sparked curiosity and led to meaningful conversations about how F1 cars function under the hood. Patience Meets Playfulness This build demands focus and precision, but it rewards you with immersive fun. Watching the juniors take their time, problem-solve, and celebrate small victories was deeply rewarding. The process taught patience, resilience, and the value of iterative progress—skills that go far beyond the LEGO table. Final Verdict The LEGO Technic Mercedes-AMG F1 W14 E Performance isn’t just a model, it’s a modular learning experience and a bonding catalyst. Whether you're an F1 enthusiast or simply looking for a meaningful way to spend time with younger minds, this set delivers on every front.

My experience
I have built loads of Lego sets before this but this is my first technics f1 set. And overall it’s an amazing set. The building techniques used and the details are amazing. I’m a massive f1 fan. But I did feel like there was a step missing when it came to adding the front wing from underneath the car. And there was a couple other steps that weren’t as clear as they could be. Other than these tho this set is a must have for any f1 fan

Very realistic
Really fun to build. Very realistic. The steering actually works, and the pistons go up and down when you spin the wheels. My only complaint is the price.

Checks all the boxes
As an F1 fan, and a Lewis Hamilton fan, and a black-Mercedes fan - this set was a must! It predates the official Lego partnership with F1 but it still compares favourably with the Red Bull and Ferrari cars that came out of that partnership. It also compares very favorably against the McLaren Technic F1 car, in that this model is based off of the actual W14E, it has a removable engine cover, and it utilizes the stronger red springs (my McLaren's floor is resting directly on the shelf at this point). Only comment I'll make is that it was difficult to line up some of the built parts during the build, due to there being multiple pins that needed to be engaged simultaneously. Also the connection point for some of these built parts is not always easy to discern from the printed instructions. The digital instructions might make this easier - BUT - I welcomed the challenge and I'm sure you can figure it all out if you just pay close attention and try to make sense of what you're doing. Overall very happy with this set. The McLaren is now at the office and the Merc is on display at home.

Start your engines!
A remarkable set, definitely Technic skill level, and worth taking the time to assemble piece by piece, sticker by sticker. Clear instructions, loaded with details from front to back. Looks oustanding on display!

An inside look
The build itself is fun and challenging. The real treat is learning more about the structure of F1 cars.

Amazing detail
This was my first Lego build since I was a kid. I used the Builder App (basically Solid Works lite) and the whole experience went very well. Good instructions, no missing pieces, and an amazing piece when I was done.

Great overall set
I enjoyed the build overall, especially moving parts like the rear differential, 6 cylinder engine, suspensions, etc... I wasn't too keen on two pages of stickers that I was constantly putting on the lego pieces, but it does look nice overall. The build time takes around 6 hours non-stop uninterrupted, but definitely plan for 7+ hours as you'll be taking stretch breaks and being mesmerized by some of the moving parts.

Great item for a F1 fan
This was my very first Lego build and I had a great time. Love the attention to detail and functionality of the set. The fact that it has an actual pushrod front and pullrod rear suspension sold it for me. Will be getting the SF 24 when it releases as well.

Beautiful Set
This is my second Technic set, first one was the Porsche 911 RSR. Compared to the Porsche 911, this Mercedes AMG F1 was a lot more fun to build because of its clear building instruction, bag by bag in order. I would definitely recommend any F1 fan to add this in the collection.
