LEGO Technic Monster Jam ThunderROARus Pull-Back Monster Truck Building Toy 42200

My 10-year-old loved loved this Monster Truck! He thought it would be a quicker build because it's under 300 pieces, but was pleasantly surprised by the extended build time this set offered, keeping him busy a few hours. He LOVED the Push N' Go feature, and I loved how it got his "wheels" turning.

He’s eight and managed to put it together on his own, it took him about an hour or so to do. He’s been playing with it most days and it’s proved to be robust and a lot of fun for him to play with. He wants me to get another one for him so then he can have monster truck battles, which may very well happen! So it’s definitely worth the investment in the truck as I think it gives good value for money, it’s well-made and I’m sure we’ll keep my son occupied for some time to come !

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was gifted this product in exchange for my honest opinion. As my little one is too young for this I gave it to my nephew so he could build it. Unfortunately he did need a fair bit of help as some of the directions are quite difficult for even an 8 year old, I’d say the age would need to be a bit higher. We made half of it, but on the second evening I had to complete it due to him not being with me. As an adult I found the directions to be clear, especially considering I’ve never made Lego using a set before! Once it had been made I put it to the test, it feels quite sturdy (although wouldn’t trust my little one with it as the pieces would be a choking hazard) When pulling back, it can go quite quickly across the floor and lasts the length of my kitchen so it will provide lots of fun. I will just need to ensure my LO doesn’t find it! Thanks for my first Lego project!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 9 year old was so excited to put this together. Took us about an hour or so but was pretty simple. We love these pull back type of vehicle legos. Makes it fun that they can move. Vehicle seems to hold up well. Well worth the $$ in my opinion.

The pictures are sequential, detailed and easy to decipher. This one is fun because we can play with it when it’s done. It stayed together and did not instantly break or fall apart. This truck is one that you can pull back, release and watch it go. My seven year old son has a big imagination and he has enjoyed this toy a lot. Thanks Influenster and Lego!

We like that there is a pull back feature to this monster truck. When you pull back the car goes forward. It’s pretty cool. I received this Lego set as a promotional gift to review. I love that it brings us closer and we work as a team to build it up. It looks exactly the same as the box and although slightly more complicated than our other lego sets it was a great challenge.
