This is an amazing resource for parents, grandparents, or caregivers of young children. Using silly questions like, "Did Jonah get rescued by a submarine?" Valerie immediately makes children the smart ones, who answer, "No! They didn't have submarines back then." The real story is that he was rescued by a big fish... It's a fun way to introduce forty Bible stories (twenty OT, twenty NT) to kids. Additionally, each story features a key takeaway, a catchy refrain ending with "We're on an adventure with God. Let's Go!" and lovely, vibrant illustrations galore.

I highly recommend this unique and creative approach to sharing Bible stories and timeless truths that engages children through fun rhymes about different transportation vehicles and reassures them of God's love and promises. I love the colorful illustrations that present Bible characters in a fresh and unconventional way, which make young readers anticipate what happens next in the story, yet connect the reader back to the real, biblical account. The meter of the rhyming couplets in Let's Go! Bible Adventures reminds me of the rhythm of another favorite bedtime story, How Do Dinosaurs Say Good Night?, so if your children liked listening to that series, they will enjoy this compilation of Bible stories that will make them want to keep reading and asking you to read more stories to them aloud. Although this book is written for younger readers (toddler to first grade), I read it with my tween daughter who enjoyed it a lot! We enjoyed taking turns reading aloud the rhyming verses together. A great encouragement that our lives are like an adventure with God. I want to thank the publisher for an advance reader copy of this book. All opinions are my own.
Perfect to engage little with Bible stories!

I really love this Bible storybook for ages 2-5! The stories are short enough for little attention spans, and so engaging! Kids this age are enamored with trucks and cars, and all things transportation right? The author uses these interests to engage kids with all kinds of stories from the Bible! Who would have thought that transportation was such a theme that could be woven into so many Scripture stories? For instance, one story about Elijah’s fiery chariot escape to heaven says, “Did he take a rocket and astronaut crew? There weren’t any rocket ships back in that day. You can’t soar to heaven like that anyway! A fiery chariot came down so fast, and might winds wooshed him to heaven at last!” I love it! Let’s Go! Bible Adventures is a rhyming storybook that tells real Bible stories and contrasts Bible-times transportation with modern-day vehicles. Trucks, trains, tractors, as well as bulldozers, boats, hot-air balloons, motorcycles―and of course ice cream trucks―will capture the attention of children ages two to five.
