But when two young women vanish under similar, terrifying circumstances, the shadows of the past refuse to stay buried.
The villagers whisper names and lock their doors at night. Someone will stop at nothing to protect the Perri legacy, and as the mystery of the missing girls deepens, the true danger reveals itself: the ultimate betrayal is closer than blood.
This explosive prequel exposes the deep-seated corruption and deadly secrets that set the entire Ella Perri Mystery Series in motion.

Review Quotes
"Great thriller! Solidly written and kept me reading. This is the third book in the series. I can't wait to see what this author comes up with next."
"This book is a nail-biting, edge of your seat, whodunnit or whodinnitdoit?
LIES THAT BIND by Krissy Baccaro tells the story of Isabella Perri, her abusive alcoholic husband Sal, her children; Luca and Franco and her friends Greta, Anna and Giorgio.
For years, Isabella has been losing friends due to Sal's drunken, erratic behavior. She makes excuses for him, covers her bruises, attempts to put up the facade of a happy family. Townsfolk often ask her why she covers for him.
When a local girl goes missing and then her body is found, the town is in an uproar. Then another girl goes missing. Sal and Luca have a very secretive relationship and Luca sneaks out of the house at night. Is he meeting a girlfriend or is he up to no good with the other night time deviants. Everyone has secrets.
Then her best friend Greta and her family up and move in the middle of the night after a bad dinner party with no explanation or goodbye.
When an arrest is made regarding the missing girls, a mother will do anything to protect the ones she loves.
I absolutely LOVED this book and understand that it is the last in a series. NOOOOO! Can be read as a standalone but I can't wait to read the others both in this series and by this author in general. Her writing style makes for easy reading, her imagination makes it THRILLING. BRAVO!
I received a copy of this book for an honest review which I am leaving voluntarily.
"This is the first novel that I have read by Krissy Baccaro. What a great ride. Her writing is excellent! The plot line well defined. Her characters and well developed and strong. The storyline was unbelievable. She had me sitting on the edge of my seat, a real nail biter. Be prepared to set enough time aside for a read straight through as there is going to be no good place to set the novel down. Our protagonist Isabella places her life in jeopardy when dead girls begin washing up at their marina. You begin to wonder is there a serial killer out there? This was written as a prequel, and I note that the author has two other novels out, but this was truly a very good standalone - now I can't wait to get my hands on the next book about Isabella. This will serve as a great first book in the series. You will not be disappointed in this novel. I received this book from StoryOrigin. This is my true and honest opinion."
