Lot of off gassing with these plates. The sleeves do not fit snuggly on Olympic bar. You get what you pay for, as they say! $ was reasonable. Would not buy again

We are sorry for your negative experience with the weight plates. The smell you noted is common for products made with rubber and will diminish over time. We have not heard of any issues with the collars on the plates not fitting properly on Olympic bars. Please contact customer service at customerservice@lifelinefitness.com to provide details and discuss.

I have had mine a week. When I received them, I took them out of the shipping box, washed them, rinsed them, and left them outside to air out for five hours. I was hopeful when I bought them inside to my basement workout room that evening, but the next morning, the room reeked of a burned rubber smell. I have aired them out another ten hours on three different days and washed them again. The room still reeks each morning before I air it out. These are the third set of bumpers that I have bought. The others, from different manufacturers, also had an intense rubber smell for about a week but they didn't smell as offensive as these, and by day 10, their smell was diminished enough to not be offensive. I have my doubts about these.
