Drink directly from lakes, rivers and streams or fill a container to use your LifeStraw on the go. The LifeStraw can provide up to 5 years of safe drinking water, with proper use and maintenance, and is rigorously tested to meet protocols established by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and NSF International/ANSI. Q: Do you have to replace the filter?
submitted by Rocker horse - 1 month ago
A: The LifeStraw Personal Water Filter has a long-lasting membrane microfilter that can filter up to 4,000 liters (1,000 gallons) of water before it stops working. Unlike some other LifeStraw products, it does not have a replaceable filter—once it reaches capacity, you will need to replace the entire unit.

I haven't used them and honestly don't know when/if they will be used. On the surface, it's disappointing that they don't have a case (unless you want to doulbe your investment).

Have not had reason to try yet. Bought in case of emergency. One straw came in an enclosed package as opposed to the others which were in cardboard holders and exposed to the elements. I do not understand why there is a difference in the packaging but I would prefer they all were in an enclosed package which in my mind keeps them clean and sterile until I actually need to use. This to me is better for long term storage since they supposedly do not have a shelf life.
Meant for hikes not doomsday preparation

Thumbs down graphic, would not recommend

A family member wanted this so I got it for them however besides receiving some of them damaged they haven’t been used. In my opinion these would be perfect for a family camping trip versus putting them in a box for when the time comes especially depending on how long they last for sealed

Purchased two of these personal Life Straws and neither of them work. Cannot such or pull any water through or flush or push any water out. They both appear to be totally clogged. I’ve tried to contact LifeStraw company and can’t get any response from them at all. Beware of this product
