Fans still work and it absolutely does the job. Over the years they've disappeared from store shelves and even many websites. Not cheap but reasonable and affordable. The filter unit I bought probably 7 years ago. Still functions but I've opted to not operate the UV feature for the ozone. Initially my first replacement filters (3) were around $26.95. The problem however? Honeywell only manufactures certain filter sizes for a finite amount of time. It eliminates odors and smoke residue. Yeah it sounds hypocritical but that's life. All I can say is they work and they work amazingly good too! And for the price and reliability from LifeSupply USA I will continue to order their products!. Then they jack up the replacement filter prices to a ridiculous amount. I smoke and I don't want anyone that visits to have to deal with my bad habit. Now what's the cost of the two box type filters? Would you believe $66.95? Two sets of two filters would be the price of a complete replacement HEPA filter, sorry not paying that price.Luckily after some searching I happened on to LifeSupply USA who make the exact sizes I need for all 3 AND for the price of one set from Honeywell I was able to buy 3 sets! And yes they pop right in without any altering! In the summertime it works great for eliminating outdoor allergens and in the winter it helps to keep the air nice and clean

Filters seem to be working. It was tempting to just buy a new air filter considering the cost of filters but this was a decent option once I figured out how to make the filter fit.. It would be a shame for it to end up in the trash when it still works fine. Thankful to find replacement filters for my old machine that still works fine

I am pleased with this product overall, with one exception. These filters are just a tiny bit wider than the originals, making it a battle to get them in properly, but they do go in.

Dont pay for name brand, filters work same and for less. Durable quality.

I had a small issue with installing the filters, since I had forgotten how the old ones came out a week earlier. But I eventually figured it out and they work perfectly.. I only wish I had had a picture of how they were supposed to be installed
