Lifetime Double Adventure Tower (90971)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just completed the assembly of this and am very happy with it. It is apparent that a lot of thought went into the design. 11/10 stars on the packaging. Everything was individually wrapped and boxed and labeled. Instructions were very detailed. Tip - read the instructions for every step completely. You may think you know what to do but inevitably it will ask you to do something unexpected and you have to backtrack. A lot of pieces double for mounting of other pieces so it can catch you buy surprise and add extra time. This took me about four full days to assemble mostly by myself. You will need another set of hands for several steps. Really appreciate the video guides as well. Impressed with the product and the support. I would only change two things: there is a plastic spacer used on the upper tower supports that I changed for a stack of washers. The plastic will break eventually leaving a critical piece unsupported. And two how the slide and climbing bars mount to the tower. I'd like to see them bolted to the metal tower supports and not just the plastic deck. Also would like them to anchor to the ground but that's just me. Overall very great product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This play set is awesome! I have an extra large backyard, so we needed a large play set to fill it. My son's favorite feature is the ship wheel, and it clicks when it turns, which is an extra little detail that just makes it even better. We have many cousins and this gives them an outdoor place to play when they come to visit. It is like we have a park in our own backyard and the colors blend nicely into our environment. Assembly is definitely more of a three person job, and watching the assembly video is a must.

We recently got the Lifetime Double Adventure Tower Playset for our large backyard, and overall we're extremely happy with the quality and look -- but there are a few things worth knowing before you buy. Set-up: The assembly took a significant amount of time, even with several people helping. The instruction manual was very thorough, the video was helpful, and we really appreciated the labeled blister packs that kept all the hardware organized. That said, it's extremely important to follow the instructions precisely- and if possible, have the time and space to just go through the complete build from start to finish. We had to redo a couple of steps because we missed small details earlier on. We also found a couple of typos and missing details in the manual that caused some confusion during the build... using the video as a second resource helped with that. After building it ourselves, we can definitely see the value in paying for Lifetime's assembly service, if that's an option for you. Favorite features: The play set itself is cute and very well made. We love that it will encourage active, outdoor play for our grandkids and has features to spark their imaginations. We really like the bridge connecting the two towers and the fun details on the deck, like the road track and little store pictures for driving toy cars. Our grandkids (ages 3 and 5) had fun climbing the rock wall, going down the double slides, and playing with the steering wheel in one of the towers. However, they did lose interest a little more quickly than we expected. We wish there were a few more interactive play elements included, especially since this set does not come with a swing. We think this playset still has a lot of potential and we may add some additional fun, creative play features on our own. Appearance: One of our favorite things is the color scheme. The neutral colors (tan and forest green) look great in our backyard. It also has just a pop of brighter colors (red, yellow, and blue) on the climbing wall- very cute without being an eye sore. The size is perfect for our half-acre lot-- substantial enough, without overpowering the yard. Overall, the Lifetime Double Adventure Tower Playset is well made, looks great in our backyard, and offers plenty of fun for climbing and sliding. While we wish it included a few more built-in interactive features- like a toy spy glass, bell, or moving puzzle or game, etc., it's a solid base that can easily be enhanced with a few add-ons. The real product reviewers (our grandkids) have only had one opportunity so far to come and test it out- and to be honest, it was cold and getting dark quickly. We are excited for the many hours of fun our grandkids will have playing on it in the future!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We’ve owned a lot of outdoor toys, but the Lifetime Double Adventure Tower truly stands out. Even though it’s been cold, this thing has been used nonstop. Jackets and boots on, the kids are outside every single day climbing, sliding, and turning it into whatever game they dream up. The quality has completely impressed me. It feels incredibly sturdy and well made, and I’m comfortable with multiple kids playing on it at the same time. It has held up beautifully and brings so much value to our backyard. This is not a toy that gets exciting for a week and then forgotten. It has become the go-to spot for outdoor play. If you’re considering it, I can honestly say it is worth it. It gets kids moving, sparks imagination, and provides hours of play. I am beyond impressed and would choose it again without hesitation.

Second tower instructions incorrect.

we have purchase other playsets in the past. This one is by far the largest and the one complaint I have is, you should have marked which box the instructions were in. I my opinion it should either be in box #1 or the box with all the nuts and bolts. It was not.

Our granddaughter and grandson love this swingset! They can’t wait to go outside in the morning and start playing on it. lol It really reminds me of my childhood as well, swinging and playing for hours outside.

I purchased this about 1 1/2 years ago but sadly wasn't able to set it up until just recently. It is awesome with one exception. I put in on turf with 2" padding underneath so I feel comfortable that if my child (adopted our 2 year old grandson) and grandchild fall off they will not be injured. They have both loved climbing, swinging and sliding. Due to delays in the build due to contractor issues with completing other portions of the yard I didn't know of damaged parts until after about 17 months of sitting in boxes and after assembly. In the 2nd picture you can see that the monkey bars have two dents. The dents are large and have green pant on them so I can only assume that they were damaged when the set was being packaged. I was very careful when handling it so I know it wasn't caused during assembly. For the money you shouldn't have to worry about this type of damage. Before the monkey bars can be used I will have to order this part. Don't even want to know what that will cost to replace. My point, don't delay in assembly and inspect all parts BEFORE assembly.

We looked at many different brands and this is by far the best for the money. We really wanted the big fancy wood swing set but all of them are built so cheap, they wouldn’t last more than a couple years. The unit came packaged extremely well. The instructions are very easily understood along with the help of the video on YouTube, this was easy to put together. It took my dad and myself 12 hours to put it together. Both of us are tradesman so we have a higher level of mechanical skills but should easily be done by the average team in the time recommended. All of the hardware is quality. No junk threads or cheap fasteners. We used a small 12v impact to assemble it and it’s very possible we over tightened some bolts but we did have a few places that the power coat cracked. I only wish the swings weren’t angled and everything was just straight. It would have fit the area we had for it much better. Overall we are extremely happy with our purchase and out kids absolutely love it. They have spent all summer long almost every day playing on it.

Absolutely do not believe a previous review of 2 men putting together in 2 days unless at least one has magical powers. Working with a engineer, we discovered some of the bolts are either mismarked or wrong size. Instructions leave a lot to be desired as to clarity. Really regretting volunteering to help assemble.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Lifetime Double Adventure Tower with Monkey Bars is loaded with fun things to do. My kids spend hours playing on it at a time and it's been a big hit! Assembly: While a bit time consuming, assembly was not difficult. The instructions were laid out VERY well and the items were packaged and labeled by box. It made the entire process doable! Playability: This playground is great for a variety of ages as there's so much to do. Because of all the different features, it keeps kids entertained and occupied. High quality and durable, this is the perfect option for any family. It'll be especially great for having friends over, backyard parties, and big families!

We’re about to become a family of 4 so we upgraded our playset to this magnificent structure. It is made to last for a super long time, durable and safe. A team of 2 men assembled it in 1 full day. I love that it goes right on the grass which makes it an easy install. Our kids play on it everyday, it’s like having a private park in our backyard. I could never go back to a regular wood playset. These materials do not weather like cedar, and no splinters. The swings are top notch and have a better pendulum than the wood swing sets. Excellent playset, amazing for our family and I would recommend to anyone looking to upgrade their playground.

The colors are pretty neutral and look great in the yard (which mom really likes!) My oldest loves the rock wall, and both the big kids and littles love the slides. This playset is sturdy and substantial, and the perfect fun addition to our farm!
