Lifetime Payette 98 Sit-In Kayak, Glacier Blue (90692)

I’ve had my kayak for just over 2 years and taken her all over this country. She weighs 44 lbs, I’m a 5”2’ female and can lift this kayak over my head to load onto the roof of my Honda CR-V. My mini Goldendoodle fits right between my legs, leaving room for a backpack and mini cooler for lunch and a cool beer to partake at the halfway point of our adventure. 10/10 recommend, wish I purchased sooner!

I bought 2 kayaks in June 2020 for my daughter s 17th birthday and Father’s Day gift to myself. We kayaked approximately 40 time and use pool noodle and straps to transport the kayaks to the niagara river, Lake Erie, Lake Ontario and surrounding creeks and lakes. My only complaint is that it is not a great tracking boat but it is solid and comfortable. I love the time on the boats with my daughter.

Bought this 3 years ago. Loving it every time I am out. I even saved two swimmers from drowning in Hilo Bay.......true story.

It doesn't track well at all, you stop paddling and you go 180* immediately. I took this out multiple times this summer, thinking I was doing something wrong, drove myself nuts tweaking body position, and paddling technique. Nothing helped. Eventually sat on the storage hatch with my feet on the cushion and sure enough the tracking issues improved to a manageable level. Is there a design/weight distribution issue, I personally think so. Called the customer support line to get there thoughts, since it was purchased at a retailer other than lifetime the kayak could not be tracked and there was nothing they could do, even though it is there product.

Had an accident and lost the seat and latch on my Kayak. Without quesiton, they sent the correct parts in two days. I am always going to buy Lifetime products.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the worse kayak ever I bought 2 n me n my wife kayak all the time n wanted to try these n they totally are trash my wife stopped paddling n the kayak never stays straight it always turns to right or left n we thought it was the weight so I tried mine n the same I highly recommend nobody to buy them

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have canoed for years but thought a kayak would be nice to fish out of. Bought the Lifetime Payette Angler Fishing kayak and I LOVE it ! It tracks straight and is very stable. Comes with a lot of nice features: Rod holder on dash, paddle holder, two rod holders on rear dash, carry handles at each end, cup holder, removable back rest, drain plug, flotation foam in the stern. I like the multiple stationary foot rest as I like to move my feet around and not have to readjust every time. I was glad it did not come with a paddle as I already had one picked out and didn't want an extra laying around. The kayak was a floor model in the store and was missing a couple parts. I called customer service to order the parts and they were very nice and professional. I received the parts in a couple days and am enjoying my new kayak very much. Lifetime, you have made me a very HAPPY customer! I will be buying my wife a Lifetime Tamarack sit-on and probably more for the grankids. I have told all my friends about my great experience and recommend lifetime products. To top it off, it is American Made! Thanks David T.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought two sit-on-top Lotus kayaks last summer, and my husband really wanted a sit-in kayak. So this year we bought the Payette to add to our fleet. Of course, my only request to him was that it was a LIFETIME kayak. LOVE their products! This is the perfect size, paddles great on lakes and ponds, very smooth ride and easy steering. He is 6'2" and has plenty of leg room. We decided on a fishing model in case our young boys want that option some day. Back rest is well made and higher than most other brands; more comfortable! The slim (not so deep) design makes it more realistic for transport, and the weight is moderately easy to carry. My only wish is that it would have come with a paddle like our other Lifetime kayaks did. All in all, we are so happy (and proud) of our Lifetime products! :)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In looking for a quality kayak to enjoy the local rivers and lakes, this manufacturer was highly recommended for quality, pricing, weight and durability. Their Customer Service was highlighted as among the very best anywhere. I found it easy to manage in transport, carrying, launching and recovery. Agility and true line of travel were commensurate with the skills of the person using the kayak. Comfortable with adjustable seat and foot pegs. Drain plug easy to use and kayak light enough to tilt upright for drainage even with water in the craft from rapids of cast off from using the paddles. Fun experience and extremely satisfied with products. When you have a great product at a great price and manufacturer customer service, you just have to take time to do a review of your own experience.

I have been able to take my kayak out with friends and love it! It is easy to pack anywhere I need to go. I have enjoyed this and cant wait to use it this summer!

Bought mid summer so was only able to take it out a few times, but the quality is fantastic. Great color options, easy to transport alone. Can’t wait for next summer!
