Review Quotes
Raves for Little Excavator * Pitch perfect...[Dewdney] has constructed a solid winner for one of her final books, with an appealing main character, vibrant illustrations with varying perspectives, and an action-packed, rhyming text with sound effects just begging to be read aloud with dramatic effect. An A+ for Little E and his creator.--Kirkus, starred reviewAbout The Author
Anna Dewdney was a teacher, mother, and enthusiastic proponent of reading aloud to children. She continually honed her skills as an artist and writer and published her first Llama Llama book in 2005. Her passion for creating extended to home and garden and she lovingly restored an 18th century farmhouse in southern Vermont. She wrote, painted, gardened, and lived there with her partner, Reed, her two daughters, two wirehaired pointing griffons, and one bulldog. Anna passed away in 2016, but her spirit will live on in her books.Dimensions (Overall): 11.1 Inches (H) x 10.3 Inch (W) x .6 Inch (D)

Great gift for 2 year old!!
My 2 year old absolutely loves this book. He asks to read it multiple times a day. He likes to point at "little e" and all the different trucks. We had checked it out from the library originally and now he has a copy of his own.

Little Excavator
Adorable book that shows that just because something is small doesn’t mean it’s not helpful.

Great for our 2 year old!
My truck loving two year old loves this book and Little E. The story is short enough to hold his attention and the end is very cute.

Bought it for my 2 yr old son after we checked it out at the library. He loves looking at the illustrations (trucks, construction vehicles) and actually sits still for the entire story (has repeating action words which is perfect for him in learning new words). Highly recommend!

Super cute!
I bought it as a shower gift for one of my good friends who is having a baby boy. I thought it was a really cute book with a nice message. I feel like it would be really fun to read with kids because the storyteller has the opportunity to get animated while reading it.
