Book Synopsis
They fell in love videoconferencing at their work-from-home jobs at FutureApp. They overcame timing issues, doubts, HR concerns, and a trifling coworker to be together!
Sam moved across the country to make a life with Hazel. They've integrated into each other's lives, made close friendships, and even bought a home.
Sam plans to propose now that it's the most wonderful time of the year, but he's met with the unexpected at every turn. Between delays, competition, guests, and cancelations, Sam's nerves about whether Hazel will say yes or not quickly give way to worries he'll be able to propose at all!
Are the continued obstacles a sign that he's doomed from the start, or will Sam pull off some Christmas Magic?
Review Quotes
"While reading this novella, I started to feel really nostalgic. It reminded me of Christmases gone by, that childlike wonder at the most magical time of year, and cosy romantic Christmas movies that played in the background while running around my grandparent's house. This was my first time reading a Christmas romance and I think it has converted me into a believer.
A Christmas romance novella about the constant obstacles Sam faces while continuously trying to propose to his girlfriend, Hazel. A festive read full of banter, found family and waiting for the perfect moment.
The only conflict seemed to be all the botched proposals that Sam was forced to endure. The poor thing. I found myself rooting for him and groaning as each one failed. This was a nice reprieve from other books, where misunderstandings can be found galore. The beautiful scenes that Sam found himself in and tried to turn into romantic proposals were so easy to imagine. Thorn did a fantastic job of giving us well-detailed descriptions of the scenery, that I found myself transported to a magical snowy mindscape.
I would recommend reading this if you are looking for a cosy festive romance, a short reprieve between longer books, or if you are a lover of Christmas movies like me."
"What a sweet, romantic novella! Sam and hazel are so endearing, I fell in love with them from the beginning and found myself rooting for Sam to JUST DO IT!!
This heartwarming story takes place from Thanksgiving through New Years Day, making it the perfect tale to cuddle up with on the couch with a warm drink and a fluffy blanket!
Sam wants to propose but can't seem to make the right moment happen. At the same time, their best friend couple breaks some life changing news of their own. Will Sam find the right time to pop the question?
This is a true feel-good, holiday themed romance with just enough spice to warm your hot chocolate!"
"This book reads like an extended epilogue from the cute story, Remotely Love. I would recommend reading that book first to fully enjoy this peek into Sam and Hazel's life.
This is an adorable holiday novella centered around Sam and Hazel taking the next steps in their relationship. Just a lovely catch up with friends."
