Because of her love and passion for her profession, Wellington usually works well with the facility leadership team for all aspects of facility operations, successfully meeting regulatory changes, and new quality and other initiatives, while helping facilities to prepare for year-round survey readiness. She has designed several monitoring tools for use internally in the facilities that she has served as administrator. She teaches and train staff at all levels in addition to the facilities staff development programs. She has an MBA from George Washington University in Washington, DC. She also attended the University of Maryland (UMUC) to do hare course work in Gerontology, Ageing & Disability, and Long Term Care Administration. She is a Certified INTERACT Champion, which helps facilities that she serves as interim administrator; focus on reducing unnecessary transfers to the hospital.
