Ordered a size 34, the size I get literally everywhere else. Not only is the waist impossible to fit into, but the legs also look (and feel) like long boards. How do you make shorts that go significantly past the knee, yet still don't fit the waist 🤦

Love the length and the fit, but this material is so stiff, they look like boards on my legs. I've tried washing them over and over, but they just don't get any more pliable. I always used to buy Dickies shorts that were made with a material called ripstop, which is much more relaxed material, and they were very comfortable. But I can't find those anywhere these days. Does Dickies even make those anymore, and if they do, where can I find them on the website?

I really like these shorts. They are comfortable and hold up well. And the pockets are normal size again!! The last couple of times I got these shorts the pockets were like half size.

I’ve been wearing these for at least 30 years and the last few pairs I’m disappointed and thinking about going with something else. It’s hard though as I’ve loved these for so long. Why is the sizing always different and the quality so up and down? I don’t get it, they were so consistent for so long and now I’m not sure what size to order and what I’m going to end up with. I have at least 5 pairs I can’t even wear because of the sizing.

I have been wearing these shorts for at least 10 years now and I have always loved them. I thought it was time to get a few new pairs, so I ordered the same ones and size that I always have. I don't know if they are being manufactured somewhere else, but the fit was totally different. I would say they run at least one size smaller than marked. I had to return the three pairs I ordered.

figured they’d fit the same way their pants do around the waist but they fit easily a size smaller, i bought mine at a 34 and they fit like a 32 or a 31, insane tight around the waist. if you buy these just size up from what you normally are and you’ll be good to go.

I've been using these exact shorts for work and mountain biking since 2007, have owned several and usually get two years of use from each pair, as well as other Dickies garments. They had always been consistently sized. However I just ordered two new pairs, one at my size 34 and one larger 36 for casual non-work use with a belt. The 34 is actually a 32 and the 36 fits like a true 34. The material quality is the same, if these were properly sized I'd rate a genuine five stars. No idea what happened with Dickies' QC, this sizing inconsistency sucks and is a new issue with this brand.

Ordered 38, fits more like a snug 36. And 15" length is incredibly long; I thought I knew how to measure my older Dickies shorts legs, using online info from Dickies - but it didn't work out. I've reordered accordingly, because they're great shorts!

Great shorts, nice and loose if you size up a little. They cover your knees in this case also, which is a plus! I never could wear short shorts. Nice and stiff like a working man's clothing should be upon purchase, otherwise you are likely getting something cheap. They stay crisp and creased and keep you cool in the Summertime!!!
