About the Author

Patricia Cerda nació en Concepción (Chile) en 1961, aunque reside en Alemania desde 1986. Doctora en Historia por la Universidad Libre de Berlín, ha publicado ensayos sobre literatura y filosofía en diversas revistas especializadas tanto alemanas como chilenas y en su blog (patriciacerda.blogspo.de). En 2013 salió el volumen de cuentos Entre mundos (Cuarto Propio, 2013), y en 2015 uno de sus cuentos fue publicado en alemán en una antología de la revista Alba. Mestiza, su primera novela, entró rápidamente en el ranking de los libros más vendidos en Chile. En España se publicarán sus novelas Ercilla y las contradicciones del imperio y Lucila.
