Description

About the Book

Jesus of Nazareth is adored, venerated, and admired by millions and millions of people. God, for some, teacher, for others. The truth, however, is that His history and true teachings are largely ignored by the masses. Centuries of interpretations and manipulations have hidden the fact that Jesus was not a Christian. Jesus was born, lived and died a Jew, and we cannot fully understand his teachings and impact on religion until we fully understand that fact.

Book Synopsis

More than a Rabbi

Jesus of Nazareth is adored, venerated, and admired by millions and millions of people. God, for some, teacher, for others.
The truth, however, is that His history and true teachings are largely ignored by the masses. Centuries of interpretations and manipulations have hidden the fact that Jesus was not a Christian. Jesus was born, lived and died a Jew, and we cannot fully understand his teachings and impact on religion until we fully understand that fact.

About the Author

CÉSAR VIDAL is a historian, writer, and communicator of American nationality with Spanish origins. He holds a doctorate in History--awarded with an extraordinary end-of-degree prize--as well as degrees in Law, Philosophy, and Theology. He has received numerous awards related to media and literature, including, among many others, the City of Cartagena Historical Novel Award (2000) for La mandrágora de las doce lunas; the Jaén Award (2004) for El último tren a Zúrich; the CCEI Award (2005) for the same work; the Spirituality Award 2004 for El testamento del pescador; the City of Torrevieja Award for Los hijos de la luz; the Harold Kregel Award (2021) for Apóstol para las naciones; and the Mexican Journalists Club Award (2021) for the program La Voz. Dr. Vidal speaks sixteen languages and has translated various authors into Spanish, including the Russian Nobel Prize winner Alexander Solzhenitsyn. He currently hosts the radio program La Voz, which is listened to by millions of people on both sides of the Atlantic, and he presides over the TV platform www.cesarvidal.tv. Dr. Vidal believes that the crisis facing today's society is fundamentally spiritual in nature, and for this reason, he is pessimistic about the possibility of it being resolved by political, union, or economic entities. However, he believes in the indescribable effects that a personal relationship with God, following the teachings of Jesus, and obedience to the Holy Spirit can have on the human spirit.
