LOVE THIS PRODUCT
I wore this out tonight to shopping then later to the club and filled it in with two shades lighter lipstick and got soooo many compliments! It lasted long and I didn't wipe off till I went home! Lasted a whole 8 hours no smudges! I love the color! I received this product for free from MAC for testing and review purposes.

Plumbing the depths of Plum
I love MAC lip liners, but I find that I don't reach for Plum too often. The description is "a reddened plum." I agree with this description, but on my neutral olive-leanimg-cool complexion, the RED is very prominent. It's not cool enough for me. Those with warmer complexions may have better luck, so I'm recommending it for them. Please, MAC, make more cool-toned shades!

New formula: drying as sandpaper and doesn't last
I used to ADORE your previous matte lipstick formula - it was one of the rare matte formulas that was matte, stayed on, and didn't dry my lips. The new formula feels like sandpaper and disappears in 30mn. I will never understand why companies change winning formulas.

Not quite opaque
This is great if you want the optical illusion of having bigger lips. It reflects the light in a very unique way. I have one for my purse one for my makeup stand. Very good if you're wanting it natural lip. I have light pink lips not NW5.

Unique color
Stone and greige are some of the most unique colors. Great '90s colors. Very hard to do duped. And Mac has some of the best pencils! I have pencils from the '90s and they're still fantastic. Less expensive brands crumble and go bad but my Mac pencils are still going almost 30 years later.

My first lip pencil ever
This was my first lip pencil ever and I bought film noir with it. I bought it 20 years ago. And my lip pencil from 20 years ago is still amazing.! I know you're not supposed to use old cosmetics but it is still creamy and works just like I bought it yesterday. I had to pull it out after the whole Wednesday fandom!

Great for lighter skin tones
I thought this might be too dark for my NW5 skin but surprisingly it worked. I paired it with antique velvet. I like vampy gothy looks. But I can wear it by itself which I think I be able to unless I wore dark lipstick.

Why
The shade is different. Go Retro is now more purple ? darker and not at all what it used to be. It's also more drying and matte than silky. Bring back the original!! also fix the font it's confusing

Favorite longwear lipstick
The matte one specifically is really good for a longwear lipstick. It's not sticky and it doesn't crack or dry my lips. It does wear from the middle over time, so I wouldn't expect to out this on in the morning and never reapply, but it holds up very well! For me, I'd rather have this problem than a liquid longwear that flakes or chaps my lips.

Love this lipstick!
Pairs really well with the lip liner I purchased at the same time. It stay silky on my lips and does not make my lips super dry like other matte lipsticks.
