They changed the formula. The colors are way different now as well. I’ve been wearing this powder for years and now I’m thinking about changing brands. So disappointing.

Ive been using the original for like 10 years, and the new formula is not for me. It makes me super oily within about 2 hrs, and caused cystic acne within a month of using it daily. It also seems to have less coverage even with layering. Very tragic, this used to be the best quick applying foundation on the market.💔
Not the same as the old

Instead of redoing an already fabulous product, MAKE A NEW POWDER UNDER A DIFFERENT NAME. Ive been using this powder for 16 years. My usual NW20 is WAY off.

I have oily acne prone skin large pores and am 58 yrs old this new formula for me is better it blurs pores, controls oil, stays on without looking cakey the original formula would crease and started to break down by the end of day but not this one just try it and see if you like it I almost didn't due it's reviews but I'm glad I did i love it.

I have been wearing Studio Fix foundation for over 20 years, it is a staple in my makeup bag. This new formula is terrible - it does not have the staying power that the old formula had and I have to use more to get the same coverage. By the end of the day I feel like my skin looks splotchy and my tone uneven. I am so very disappointed in the changes made - other than the new packaging and included sponge, I can't really say that I like anything about this. Luckily, I still have 2 brand-new packages of the original formulation that I will use sparingly. Looks like I will have to see what other options are out there on the market. On a positive note, I do appreciate the extensive shade range.
I'm satisfied with the product, I wish it to be more creamy

The store was another experience altogether. Plenty of staff members gathered around talking and not at all helping the customers And the manger of the store was the worst Make up is really expensive and a luxury, so your work associates should attend to costumer.

I have very dry skin, i love matte medium coverage. You can easile fo full matte coverage, be careful or it will be cakey. Blends well over serums, liquid blush, and moisturizers, i use a puff or a dennse brush. Sets well, very smooth amd matte finish. Im a medium tone caramel/olive tone with green veins for reference. I wear NC45, but it a tad dark. I use it moderately, im going to try NC44.

Love this- the best easiest application- make sure you get color matched - color stays true all day- if your face is really oily use blotting papers
Why did they change it?!

I have used this for many years and absolutely loved it, never tried anything else. I received my recent order and it's different…it's orange looking and cakey. I read previous reviews and found out they changed the formula. Why mess up a good thing?
Heads up, folks: re talc in cosmetics

In December 2024 the FDA has proposed a ruling requiring companies to test their products for possible asbestos contamination in talc, a common ingredient in makeup. It seems MAC has gotten ahead of this by getting rid of the talc in their foundation powder, hence the formula change and the wild swing in shades. Good luck to everyone on their quest for new foundation powder, though note well: the makeup you find that works may be in queue for a formula change as well.
Love the new formula

First the new packaging is cute, the colors thank goodness they removed the orangey tones that were in the old one i couldnt use the old version always oxidized and looked orange now i use nc 20 and its so natural looking looks like an actual skin tone so blurring feels so light on skin does not make liquid foundation look cakey 🖤🖤😊

The new formula for studio fix powder plus foundation is awful. I wouldn't even give it one star. I've used Mac foundation for over five years, with the change in the formula I now have to search for a new foundation.
It sucks now…

The shades arent the same anymore, the coverage is absolutely HORRID, and you have to stand over a sink or something because it gets EVERYWHERE. I dont know what they changed, but they completely ruined this product. Im returning it and bever buying again.
