Screws fall out! Be careful!
Beware! We just purchased these yesterday on 8/23/2026 and the screws are already falling out. Even though these are age-appropriate for my toddler, he would still eat the screw if I didn’t catch it.

I imagine these may be magnatiles response to the Minecraft blocks I’ve been seeing everywhere. I think these were a bit anticlimactic and I wish they stuck together better like the other mini tiles. I do appreciate that they come in a travel case. First time I think I’ve seen a magnatile with screws though. Hopefully they won’t come apart….

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had really high hopes for the Magna Tiles micromags cubes. My kids love Magna Tiles and thought these would be a hit but sadly I was mistaken. I think a large part of my four children having minimal interest is because there are only 9 pieces causing them to be limited in what they can build. The concept is great and with only 9 pieces my one year old stayed engaged just building a small tower and knocking it over. I appreciate the durable clear zip container they came with for storage, that alone was a huge bonus and definitely make them a great option to throw in your bag to take on the go. They are super lightweight too which was nice because it didn’t add much weight to my purse. I did notice the magnets flip a bit inside the cubes so they don’t stick as easily from some sides of the cube. Overall I think they have great potential but if I’m honest they didn’t grab or sustain the attention of my older children like regular magnatiles due and as mentioned, I think that is hugely to do with the fact they are limited in what they can create due to only having 9 cubes.

Small magnetic cubes, great addition to a larger set
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My toddler already loves building with our full size Magna Tiles, and the Micromags cubes are not exception. This set includes 9 cubes, fully magnetic on every face so they connect from every direction. The smaller scale makes them easier for little hands to grip and stuck compared to the larger tile sets, and the strong magnets mean towers and shapes hold together even when a toddler is “helping” enthusiastically. They’re a nice compliment to the bigger Magna-Tiles rather than a replacement, ours get mixed into bigger builds for added detail and color. One honest caveat: with only 9 pieces the set feels a bit limited on its own, it really shines as an add on to a larger Magna Tiles collection rather than a standalone building set. Overall a solid pick for already enjoy magnetic building play and want something sized for smaller hands.

What I love most is how versatile they are You can create towers, walls and simple patterns which helps keeps kids engaged and encourages creativity. The pieces connect securely but are still easy enough for kids to pull apart and redesign other creations without frustration. As a parent of 2 autistic child’s I appreciate toys like this one that hold their interest and encourage hands on exploration and this cubes have done exactly that.

It only comes with 9 cubes so I do suggest buying two or buying one of the other microMags sets so that the kids can have more pieces. They seem very durable - the kids dropped them a few times and no cracks.

They are easy to use and being magnetic they connect to any other magnets. The carrying case is phenomenal! Easy to clean and wipe down after play. No assembly was required. They are big enough for small toddler hands but not too small that they are a chocking hazard. Very happy with this product. I will say though, if you have no other magnetic tiles/blocks, having only 9 of these will be underwhelming.

They aren’t big so I don’t have to worry about choking hazards, and they’re big enough so that if they’re on the floor I can see them! They came in a beautiful zipper package for easy storage. Definitely will look into getting a bigger set.
