  • A: Just picked up a box. One packet labeled "Part 2". The other no label at all. I'm assuming Part 2 is the soup mix.

We love this soup. This is something the little ones like to help prepare. We make per instructions but add some sliced baby carrots and sometimes some green onion. It is a bit salty and I wouldn’t mind if they cut the sodium down, but it is a delicious crowd pleaser.

For an Okie stuck in rural America without a Jewish deli within 350 miles, this is how I get my matzo ball soup fix.

This was very easy and very good! Reminded me of the matzo ball soup I grew up with. To keep with what I traditionally do, I added a small amount of Baking Soda to the ball mix, one small bay leaf to the soup broth and sliced carrots to the broth. Drop the carrot slices in at the same time as the balls so they don’t get too soft. For storage of leftovers, store the balls in a separate container from the broth.
