I really enjoy the hemp hearts. They have a meaty texture and a mild nutty flavor that goes very well with either savory or sweet dishes. I use them in granola and nuesli, as topping for yogurt, mixed with other seeds to make a version of zaatar for bread and salad/vegetable topping, I have even made pesto with it. The quality of this product is great, fresh flavor, clean.

Been enjoying the hemp hearts for several weeks, and love the added nutrition in my oatmeal for lunch every day. Also love the big bag, which I keep in the freezer and draw from whenever I need to fill up the jar I keep in the fridge. As well, I appreciate that there's no scoop included, as it's such a waste of plastic. Thanks so much, Manitoba Harvest! : )

I put 3tbs on my oatmeal every morning. Does not add to or distract from the taste. I'm 60 and have no medical issues.

Never thought I'd eat 5 pounds of hemp hearts, and now I'm on my second bag. I'm aiming for concentrated nutrition in my food as I get older, and eating hemp hearts daily along with a few other key foods seems to be helping me achieve my wellness goals. It certainly helps that they go with literally everything--just sprinkle them on. And I appreciate the value that MH provides via this size bag.

It hurts me to see unfair reviews of this brand. It's really unfair that there are so many negative reviews of people simply not liking the taste of Hemp hearts. Rather than reviewing this brand. Which I what reviews should be for. I've been eating Hemp hearts daily for over 20 years and I've tried nearly every brand on the market. Manitoba is hands down the freshest, tastiest, most consistent brand. If you don't like Hemp hearts, that's fine, but that has nothing to do with wether this brand puts out a good and reliable product. Hemp hearts have a particular taste and texture no matter who is producing it. It's not for everyone. But for those of us that love it, and depend on its complete plant protein, this brand is the best. If you're a Hemp heart regular like me, it DEFINETLY pays off to get directly from the website, the 5 pd bag, on a subscription delivery. I worked at a health food store and even on their huge once a year sale PLUS my 15% discount it still was more cost effective to do it this way. I keep my 5 pd bag in the freezer and just scoop out what I need each morning for smoothies.

I've recently started purchasing hemp hearts to add to my post-workout smoothies. They have a pleasant, nutty flavor and are truly super! My only criticism is that the sealing mechanism on the bag is very flimsy and needs to be improved.

Great healthy source of many nutrients, I use it with my oatmeal and use it baking cookies! Has a good taste and more protein than you would think, goes well in smoothies too! I recommend hemp hearts to a lot of people, especially those who might need a boost in their diet when they are not eating as well as they could.

I had a coupon and thought I’d try a bag of these. I had never heard of them before so I had no idea what to expect. I initially thought they would be crunchy, but they are very soft. They feel sorta like chopped sunflower seeds. They don’t have much flavor, so you can use them in a lot of things. I made a salad last night and added them. I really want to try using them in a “breading” and fry some stuff with them. Overall I definitely plan on purchasing some more! Just an FYI, the bag says it should be refrigerated after opening!
