It has served me beautifully with both uses. The subtle curve is enough to feel more immersed in gaming at my desk + seems to improve the viewing angle at a diatance when watching shows. At the price i paid- it was very reasonable all the features, menu options, resolution and refresh-rate specifications. I don't think I will ever switch to a non-Samsung, or non-curved monitor again.

The screen is nice and vibrant and the freedom of movement is very useful for my setup, bringing it all together. It has a nice sleek look and is pretty durable. Colors pop, details are razor-sharp, and the whole thing just screams premium. It fits my setup like it was made for it, and now everything else around it looks outdated. The quick refresh rate and the minimal ms rate is just what I need. It allows me to be "sweaty" as my opponents would say, but I just think they have a skill issue. Not only do I game on my monitor I also day trade using the monitor and laptop so having two screens is perfect. I recommend the odyssey g5 for anyone interested in high quality computing, gaming, research, etc. I have all samsung products from tvs, phones, tablets, watch and monitor and will continue to use them for the rest of my life.

You have to tune them a bit to your liking but that's every monitor out there. Smooth FPS and Hz as well. It also is VESPA Mountable! A BIG plus for me since my set up calls for it. I use it for gaming mainly but it works super well as a work monitor as well. Lots of space to use for my different tabs I need open. Overall recommend for something that gives quality without breaking your bank account.
