A: I would't recommend it. Depending on the tiles, the grout lines may show. I wouldn't take the risk. I'm also buying this for a kitchen backsplash, though not behind a stove top or oven. It will melt.

For the tile, I always say that it will stick to this smooth surface, there is just a chance that you might see the grout lines depending on how deep they are. We hope this helps! - Jerith

This is thick, high quality contact paper that has a pretty pattern and a slight texture that adds to the illusion. If you want to cover a flat, mostly vertical wall surface that has clean edges, this could be ideal. It's also more affordable than Smart Tiles. However, it was not the right product to cover the ugly brown tiled kitchen backsplashes in our rental. The tile lines showed through, the paper puckered badly around outlet holes, and carefully lining up the repeating vertical pattern over a low horizontal wall area was tedious and wasted so much paper. I decided to remove it rather than continue. On the plus side, it came off easily without leaving any residue.

Huge waste of money if you want the pattern to point horizontally (meaning your pieces are laid top to bottom not side to side). I’ve spent the last 5 hours trying to match them for a seamless look. IT’S IMPOSSIBLE!!! I’ve tried overlapping, flipping, cutting different lengths. Nothing lines up!

I would definitely use this in the future, and would recommend this to anyone who is looking to spruce up their space! The wallpaper is easy to cut (I used a box cutter), easy to peel and re-stick if you didn’t get the placement perfect the first time, and looks beautiful!

As a beginner with wallpaper, it did take some trial and error to get it right and avoid bubbling. With practice, it seemed to get easier to apply. For a quick basement bathroom redo, and the $10 clearance price for each roll (this wall required two rolls) I’d say it turned out great!

Worked great for me! Didn’t stretch on me and easy to reposition! The trick is you should definitely make a leveled starting line so the pattern stays straight. Never start in the corner of a wall bc it is never straight. If you don’t start straight then your pattern will slant and the grout lines will slant and will be hard to line up. Also, the pattern repeats itself about every 12” and is easy to find.

Pattern was pretty but material was too stretchy to work with & almost impossible to keep air bubbles out of aswell as creases. Would only recommend for small spaces that would be easy to cut wallpaper into small pieces & use & not decorated somewhere where flaws can be seen (you WILL see them).

Transformed my kitchen on a budget! We will be redoing our kitchen in the future but wanted a quick fix now. Looks great, relatively easy to apply. Hard to match up evenly but the herringbone pattern is forgiving and it looks good!
