Up until recently, there was no liquid-stable version of Methylfolate, so this product has historically had folate in the form of Calcium Folinate (otherwise known as Folinic Acid). We were thrilled when a liquid-stable version of Methylfolate became available, as our customers have been asking for this form of folate in our liquid multivitamins for a long time! The only change to the Supplement Facts Panel is the transition from Calcium Folinate to Methylfolate (as Calcium L-5-Methyltetrahydrofolate), though there were a few other minor adjustments to the Other Ingredients. ​​

A: Hello! We do not recommend taking both as they are both broad-spectrum multivitamins with overlapping nutrients. Depending on your body’s nutrient needs, one formula might be more beneficial for you than the other. Since all bodies are different, an individual’s nutrient needs are unique to their body. Our products have not yet been tested for absorption, and any statements we make about the absorption of any particular ingredient is based on specific evidence for that ingredient.  In supplementing, absorption has a very specific meaning that is commonly demonstrated by analyzing blood serum level changes over time after taking a supplement, and requires accounting for a variety of complicating factors (such as gender, age, general health, etc) that may affect the data. Ultimately, when we assess available data for absorption claims (such as “Our liquid iron products use ferrous bisglycinate chelate, which is chelated for enhanced absorption”), we are doing so after diligent vetting of the available scientific data.
