Maui Jim Huelo Classic Sunglasses

The glasses are great, and the process was fantastic a real five star deal

Stolen after I had them for 4 days. Was on a golf trip. Stinks. They were great. Quality product as always

Very disappointed. Had a pair of red sands that I absolutely love but ended up getting lost. Recently decided to replace them using credit card points for this pair. The quality is lacking desperately compared to the red sands. Hinges are weak, lenses scratch way to easily. Had I known this I would have ordered another pair of red sands. Avoid and get a different pair of Maui Jim's.

I purchased these glasses May 2023 and absolutely loved the light frames and fit, not to mention the cool look of the Lava lenses. I take extremely good care of all my sunglasses and always buy high end products. Now I am noticing a cloudy/blurry area on the inside of the right lense. I always use mild dish soap to clean the lenses along with microfiber cloths to wipe. I cannot seem to get this area to come clean. It looks like something in the coating on the inside of the lense. The left lense also seems to have a similar issue forming. I am still under warranty and am hoping Mau Jim can help here?

Hello, at first I was really happy with the glasses but now in less than two years they’re cloudy and scratched. Is this normal? I took good care by using the case a lot.

I’m finally sending my back for cloudy lens. Given the other reviews, I would expect they replacement would be free.

I am on my second pair of lens. No matter how much care you take cleaning them, they tend to scratch. First time I thought it was because I didn’t use the MJ cleaning cloth. 2nd set was just as bad and I never used anything but the MJ cleaning cloth.

As others have mentioned.. I absolutely loved these glasses until I didn't. They looked great, were extremely comfortable and I loved the flexibility of the frame. It seemed like almost overnight though, the lenses looked like I had drug them behind my truck. Not sure if it was from cleaning or what, though I cleaned them the exact same way I clean other brands and have never had this issue with others. This was my first pair of Mauis and likely my last as other brands in the same price range are more durable.

I love Maui Jim sunglasses and this is my fourth pair. The Huelo's have great style but the lenses have crazed in less than 2 years. I have 2 pair of Maui's over 10 years old that have lenes in better condition than these 2 year old Huelo's. Very disappointed as these glasses have not lived up to the high quality I expect from Maui Jim sunglasses.

I finally decided to buy the matte blue frame/blue lens Maui Jim sun glasses last year because I have been told they are the best and the lenses are superior. The Huelo frame is second to none with the sleek design and weight but the lenses have really let me down. After just one year of normal/light wear the lenses are severely scratched to the point where the view is hazy. I store them in the case and only clean them with the Maui Jim cleaning cloth. I find my self reaching for a different set of sunglasses to wear when that used to not be the case. I LOVED these glasses when they were new. For the price I would expect these lenses to hold up better and last a few years before needing repairs. Maui Jim, I'm a huge fan, but something needs to be done.

Great fit for a dude with a medium sized dome. Love the style. This is my 4th pair of Maui Jim’s and by far my favorite look. I love the lightweight design without compromising quality. Great job MJ design crew.

Love the weight and fit of these. But like it’s been mentioned, the lens scratch too easily for shades at this price point.

I love the frame. It's light weight and comfortable, but the lenses are too fragile and easily scratch. I have several older pairs of Maui Jim sunglasses with no scratches. I've been so careful with these lightweight Hawaii Blue mirror finish lenses, but still discovered a scratch right in the middle at eye level. I will need to replace this lens.

Just recieved my Huelo's thrilled how light they are, a bit worried about durability but I am very carefully with my many Maui's. Only complaint is the lack of a bag to store and clean the glasses. Have had them all, oakley's, ray bans etc. Best optics in the industry

Like the nose pads, I have a small nasal bridge so it keeps my glasses up. But the lenses are horrible. Never dropped them yet huge scratches on both sides within weeks of using it, right on the middle, ugh 😩

Loved these sunglasses at first. The nose pads took a little bit to get used to, but nothing out of the ordinary. However, I just had to send these in to get fixed. The lenses started delaminating. With more research I found out these are no longer made of glass and I noticed, no matter how much care of them that scratches would appear . Very disappointed as I have 5 pair of Maui's, some of which are 8-10 years old that I have never had to worry about scratching with the proper care.

They look very good but the quality and finish I expect from MJ is simply not there. Maybe a result of their ownership change but the glasses definitely are different from their historic brand

They are lightweight and cheap feeling with arms too short to fit across the ears well

These are my favorite glasses. Light weight fit perfect, not too big not to small. Lenses are incredible. Red sands are too big and these are their little brother. The only thing that would make these better is if they were offered in the super thin glass option. I haven't noticed any scratching on the lenses yet but I've only had them a couple weeks. I like them so much I bought another pair in a different frame & lens color.

I like the look of them and they work well as sunglasses. But they stick to my nose and it hurts when I wear them. For that reason, they are not very comfortable.
