All Max & Lily products use a durable, low VOC finish. The slatted head and footboards and flush, color-matched hardware give this bunk bed a clean, modern look. Instructions, upper/lower slat rolls, and required hardware are included. With solid plywood slats and a metal support bar for the top bunk, each sleeping surface can support 400 pounds of resting weight. Great bed, but a little shaky

The bed is straight forward to assemble and it looks great. I bought the bed for the high weight capacity so that an adult can lay down on the bed while helping a child to fall asleep. I added bunkie boards because the boards are too far apart we're using foam mattresses. My only complaint is that the bed is a little shaky. My 8 year old is sleeping on the top bunk, so nowhere near the weight capacity, and every time he moves the bed shakes. I'm going to need to add some 2x4s to make it more sturdy.

A bit disappointed, don't know

A bit disappointed, don't know if we got a lemon. But it's wobbly, not as sturdy as I expected. When someone moves on the top, the bottom bunk can definitely feel it. Vertical posts in the head and foot boards can move up and down too.

Dont waste your money

Everything seems ok if I didn’t have experience with other beds. It’s just not sturdy enough. Getting up on the top bunk you really notice it. I have a lot of experience building cabinets (an entire kitchen) and furniture. I have put together many kids beds recently, as well. Some cheaper and some more expensive. This one is the worst one as far as how stable it feels though. It’s not unsafe, but I definitely have to keep reminding my kids to be adults in this bed (no wrestling or moving a lot, don’t put any pressure on the side boards up top). This is just after having it for a week. I’m sure my review won’t get anything but worse over time.
