But also advised per website FAQ's "Mederma for Kids was specifically formulated for use on anyone above age 2. It has a sent and a purple color that goes to clear when you rub it in. The over night cream has an active ingredient or Dimethicone. The over night cream is designed to work with skin nighttime regenerative activity to reduce appearance of scars.

No improvement
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I havent seen any change in the scar i had after using it for a month now. The consistency is real watery not very thick. I wouldnt purchase on my own due to no improvement at all.

Decent fonold scars
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this product on a 5 week old tkr scar. The consistency was a little gel like when I applied it, and it took a good bit of rubbing to get it on there. I can’t be sure how well it worked, I think it would work better on an older scar as opposed to a fresh large one.

Gel, smooth, protective

It absorbs well and quickly. It lasts all day but I do reapply for extra protection before I go to bed. Overall great product for scars.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this product for two weeks one of that scars is old the other is new, is like a L, the old look the same but i read on the box you need use it for 9 months but here I need to do the review fast, on the new scar I see is more flat and is loosing the color, that take me just one week and I think is gonna work on a long term, I let you know on the old in 9 months, the absorption is really fast and you don’t need use a lot because is really liquid thank you!

What a difference!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] All I can say is I'm so thankful for this product. My daughter has undergone multiple surgeries and nothing was lightening her scars. I included a before and after picture and the difference is incredible. This gel has completely won me over. My daughter is so happy and loves helping put it on everyday. She is happy that it is getting lighter but she is still super proud of her scars. This gel is so easy to put on at night and then let it work it's magic overnight. I can't recommend this enough. Go to for new or old scar treatment
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using Mederma Advanced Scar Gel for almost a two weeks now, and I’m honestly pretty impressed. I went into it with realistic expectations—I didn’t expect my scar to disappear overnight—but I have noticed steady improvement. The texture of the scar has smoothed out a bit, and the color isn’t as dark or obvious as it used to be. It’s subtle, but definitely noticeable when I compare it to older photos. The gel itself is lightweight, dries fairly quickly, and doesn’t leave that sticky feeling some scar products do. The tube is small but it actually lasts longer than it looks, even with daily use. It’s not a magic fix, and you have to be consistent, but for me it’s been worth it. If you’re dealing with a newer scar or even an older one that still bothers you, I think it’s worth giving Mederma a try.

We'll see. The gel is smooth and applies easily. It smells nice and doesn't require a large amount to cover the scar. The skin absorbs it very quickly, and since it's collagen-based, it should be very effective at quickly regenerating the skin.
