But also advised per website FAQ's "Mederma for Kids was specifically formulated for use on anyone above age 2. It has a sent and a purple color that goes to clear when you rub it in. The over night cream has an active ingredient or Dimethicone. The over night cream is designed to work with skin nighttime regenerative activity to reduce appearance of scars.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using Mederma Advanced Scar Gel for almost a two weeks now, and I’m honestly pretty impressed. I went into it with realistic expectations—I didn’t expect my scar to disappear overnight—but I have noticed steady improvement. The texture of the scar has smoothed out a bit, and the color isn’t as dark or obvious as it used to be. It’s subtle, but definitely noticeable when I compare it to older photos. The gel itself is lightweight, dries fairly quickly, and doesn’t leave that sticky feeling some scar products do. The tube is small but it actually lasts longer than it looks, even with daily use. It’s not a magic fix, and you have to be consistent, but for me it’s been worth it. If you’re dealing with a newer scar or even an older one that still bothers you, I think it’s worth giving Mederma a try.

Skin regenerator
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received it today and started applying it to an old scar. I know it needs to be used continuously for a minimum of two weeks to see results. We'll see. The gel is smooth and applies easily. It smells nice and doesn't require a large amount to cover the scar. The skin absorbs it very quickly, and since it's collagen-based, it should be very effective at quickly regenerating the skin.

Excellent product!!!!!!!
I must say, I’ve only been using Mederma for one week, and I am already beyond impressed with the results. I took a horrible fall on 6/13/25, and since my legs mean everything to me….especially my knees, which are definitely part of that package! I was feeling extremely self-conscious about the scar. I'm truly grateful that my wound care doctor recommended this product, and I can't wait to see how things continue to improve over the next 7/8 weeks.

After only two applications, my scar became very irritated, red, and itchy. I discontinued use and the irritation went away. I'm obviously allergic to one of the ingredients. Unfortunately, the ingredients are not disclosed on the tube or package, and there is no monograph included in the package either. I am only now reading reviews, which I should have done before purchase, and I see that many other people are having the same problem with this scar gel. It seems the formulation needs to be reviewed and changed. For starters, the artificial fragrance should be eliminated. It is way too strong smelling and unnecessary. No, I do not recommend this product.

Amazing product
I had a mini face lift and I was left with raised scars around my ears. I was so self conscious that I thought I would never show my ears again. I’ve been using this gel along with prayer. I found where I could make a review because I literally just looked at my ears for the first time in a long time with a side mirror and I promise the scars almost look like they disappeared. I mean I really looked botched! This is amazing because I can finally show my skin without being self conscious or hiding. Praise God and Mederma! I’m wearing a ponytail for the first time in almost two years! Thank you ❤️
