Pregnancy skin
Never struggled with acne growing up, pregnancy however hit me like a ton of bricks. i have small breakouts in the T zone. i tried to use a salicylic acid face wash and burned the crap out of the corners of my nose/ smile line area. i have tried EVERYTHING. Ordinary, Youth to the people, Origins, Cerva, Cetaphil, YOU NAME IT! Don’t don’t get me wrong, i have found great moisturizing products but nothing to heal the broken skin barrier. and most things i applied would give an immediate burning sensation and make it bright red then leave me itchy and dry halfway throughout the day. This is my holy grail, just after a few consistent uses prior to applying a moisturizer, this has done it for me. So grateful i found it.

I hate to say "holy grail" but....it is.
If you have sensitive skin, rosacea, skin flares and/or acne you not only need this but will become obsessed with this. Will instantly calm cheeks, especially when layered over the spray. I’ve tried the prequel version (and i love prequel) but it’s not comparable IMO. This is a product I will always have on hand. Passes acne checker and if works. Is also great post shaving for sensitive irritation prone areas.

Not Fungal acne safe!!
I have super sensitive skin to be fair. However, the cicaplast baume didn’t trigger my fungal acne to my surprise. However, this not only made my skin burn but also triggered the fungal acne I have been trying to get rid of!

Stings Irritated Skin
Still reviewing it and I hope to change my mind about but as of today I’ll likely return this product. Maybe I’m not using it correctly but I actually had to literally wipe it off my face twice due to a strong burn feeling (I applied the balm and immediately soothe the skin and relieved the pain. It is likely due to the fact that my skin is very sensitive and a bit damaged at the moment, however I could not tolerate in the under eye area. I purchased the whole line but the glycerin for whatever reason is not working for me. It says it helps post procedure but it might not be good for irritated skin. It seems somewhat interchangeable in my mind but I might be wrong. With that said, I applied on dry lips and it helped quite a bit. I applied on the cuticles and it seems to help, although I didn’t see major changes (yet).

Sensitive skin girlies beware!
I LOVE the original cicaplast Baum so I thought I’d like the gel. Nope. I don’t think it’s designed for sensitive skin because it made my skin sting, itch, turn red and overall just irritated. I tried it several times, even reducing the amount of product I was using but it did not help. This is a warning to the sensitive skin girlies, stick with the original!

Heavy, sticky feeling
My dermatologist gave me a sample with her recommendation since I have rosacea-prone skin. She recommended it for winter. But it feels like it never absorbs into the skin and leaves a tacky, sticky layer over the skin. It feels heavy and unpleasant enough I couldn't even try it out a second time. No fragrance is a plus, but I just couldn't stand the feeling enough to realize any benefits from the product.

Heals wounds quickly
I used this on two cuts on my fingers, both right in a knuckle fold and kept on popping open not wanting to heal. I put a dab of this and a bandage on these and literally overnight the wound closed enough to stop bleeding, all redness and irritation went away and the cuts are both healed over 48 hours after the one treatment.

I used Cicaplast Gel B5 for windburn on cheeks, nose, forehead, and lips. The gel absorbed quickly, leaving my face feeling calm and moisturized. Nothing else calmed my chapped skin or got rid of the redness. After only two days of using Cicaplast B5 gel multiple times throughout the day, my face was no longer red and irritated. I use it in my morning and evening routine after cleansing and toning, then I moisturize. Of course, I always use SPF in the mornings. Thank you Laroche Posay for another great product that really works.I love, love, love Laroche Posay products!

I have super sensitive cheeks- redness and this is the only thing I’ve found that doesn’t burn my cheeks. Very simple ingredients compared to other things on the market.
