My son said "it was very fun to build. I like how his mouth is wide open. I like that they kept the evolutions. I like the spikes and all the details"

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My youngest son enjoys the set. He just had to had help putting it together. It was larger than it appeared in the pictures and was a fun piece to have overall. The only downfall is it tends to fall apart fairly easily when played with.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall a cool product once built. A little frustrating to build, the instructions were a little difficult to follow. I would say that the age range is more towards the 8 year old range than a younger kid. Once it is built my kid loved the end results but honestly I had to finish building it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son loves the colors and movement of this piece. It was fairly easy for him to put together as well. Any build that he can do on his own is a plus for a busy work-from-home parent during summer break in my book.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids thought this was so fun to build! Instructions were clear and easy to follow with little to no confusion. Pieces are sturdy and stay together well and the kids enjoyed there variety of building more than just one creature.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A few generations of Pokémon lovers in this house and we were excited to put this Magikarp Evolution together. It has nice colors. The plastic is pretty sturdy. The pieces fit together well and it stayed together easily. Liked being able to pose them differently.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son loved this building set. It took him about 30 minutes to put it together and arrange it the way he wanted it on display. I felt that the directions were easy enough to follow. I like the packaging it came in as well because you can keep the extra pieces and instructions manual inside it for storage. I'd definitely recommend to anyone who loves Pokemon!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great build. My son really enjoyed building this. Intructions are easy to follow and the pictures help a ton. We really enjoyed working on this together and this made a great addition to his pokemon collection.
An impressive build, fun too!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had other Mega Pokemon sets before, and they were fine - we liked the characters, and they were fine to build as well. However, this evolution build was very cool -- challenging enough for my 7 year old, although some of the body segments were repetitive and a bit boring (lol daddy helped her eliminate the tedium though). IMHO the most awesome part is how it looks when you've completed the build -- the twisty, gnarly, serpentine Gyarados pose is impressive, and the goofy yet lovable Magikarp included on display is a beautiful touch.
Engaging set with tons of hours of play.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son absolutely loved this Magikarp set!!! He has had a blast with building this set and then creating scenes with his other Pokemon Megablock sets. It was easy to build and he followed the directions to the T! Loved every second of it! Engaging set with tons of hours of play.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pokemon is a favorite in our house so this product seemed like a good choice. The concept is a good one. The attention to detail is top notch. Where this falls short is the way the pieces connect. They are very difficult to snap together. My child quickly lost interest and even I had trouble.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you have a child who likes building and likes Pokemon, this is a great set. The instructions for MegaBlox aren't quite as easy to follow as Lego instructions, but they're fine and the only option for Pokemon sets.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is missing a lot of pieces and the parts are hard to put together and stay together while building the rest of it was difficult. It looks really nice when it is complete but was definitely a challenge.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] At first glance the 400 plus piece construction set is a little intimidating but with a little patience this becomes a worthy project for any 8 year old. The steps are straight forward enough that it shouldn’t frustrate too many young and eager individuals. I do have to warn people though, that there are a good amount of steps involved. Any parent with kids that have short attention spans will probably find that this set might take a few sessions to complete. Pretty set when completed. Highly recommended.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall this is a really nice set. The company has improved their directions making them easier to follow. There are a few minor changes to the instructions I personally would make in order for my children to be able to complete the set completely independently, however based on quality and design I would purchase more sets like this one and recommend it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids love these Pokemon sets. The love building things and love Pokemon so naturally these are a big hit in our house. My older kids help the little kids with building and the labeled bags and detailed instructions help them do these without any adult help. This set was 411 pieces and it took them a few hours to assemble. The boys give it a 5/5 rating!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Pokémon set exceed my expectations. The colors are vibrant, extremely well made, and looks very cool when put together. My 9 year old absolutely loved putting this together. He had a blast while doing it. The step by step instructions were easy to follow. The pieces were very sturdy and well made. The design is on point. You can pose the Pokémon to the position you want. The mini accessories were a bonus. This is a great gift for a child that loves building and loves Pokémon. It will keep any child entertained for hours. Great birthday gift! Excellent product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Magikarp is definitely a cool piece to add to my son's collection of Pokemon sets! However, this piece took my avid builder a few days to complete. This set was missing a few pieces, but they weren't critical pieces. This set is somewhat fragile, so it should be placed on display vice playing with it. It was also quite difficult to change the positon without it falling apart; hence the 4-star and not 5.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very exciting and realistic Pokemon toy! My children have always been in love with building things. When my child saw the box for the very first time they had to build it right away. From start to finish it took about 2.5 hours. Instructions were pretty straightforward and easy to follow along with each step. The nice size booklet also helped. Around an hour in you could realize how long and impressive the Pokemon would be. Gyarados (the evolution from Magikarp) is about 19 inches long. The best part is it is flexible so it is much easier to move around and play if they wish. The Pokemon also connects to a base so it can be easily displayed for viewing. It does say 8+ and I can see why. Although very minor, it was hard to snap on some of the blocks together, needing help from a parent once and a while. I would highly recommend it for any child that loves building and/or super cool Pokemon like Magikarp/Gyarados. Your child will love putting this together and displaying it in their room!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 8 year old son liked building the set. He followed the instructions and put it together all by himself. The instructions were easy enough for him to follow, yet challenging at the same time. The finished set looks really cool and the features are neat in how it is able to move.
