Q: What is it treated with to make it water resistant?

A: The chair is not treated - the fabric is a tight weave and is not water resistant in the sense that water will just shake off. Left long term water will soak into the fabric

Good for multiple ages
Both by 4 y/o and 17 month old use these butterfly chairs, we have four of them. They have held up well to use by my girls and our neighbors. I would buy these chairs again.

I bought this chair in three different designs.
I bought this for my granddaughter for her 1st birthday...I know the chair says 3+. But she sat in it very still and did not try to stand in it or crawl out. Also, it is a tradition now, I have bought a cute Melissa and Doug camp chair for all three of my grandchildren on their first birthday. The oldest is six and the BumbleBee chair is still great. In fact, the two older sisters pulled out their chairs and all three sat in a row in their Doug and Melissa chairs, and it was so cute!
