Great Playset For You Kids!

I find it amazing how the items react with adding water to make it change color. She can’t stop “cooking” haha. It’s nice and portable to take with you anywhere! Easy to assemble and clean up.

Fun interactive toy
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Melissa & Doug Flip & Fry Grilled To-Go Play Set is a fun and interactive toy for kids. It comes with 3 “food bags” so you can serve your food “to-go”, there is a fry option with a fry basket included, a griddle and a grill. You add water to the spatula, ketchup/mustard bottle and the salt/pepper shaker and as you “cook or season” the food it changes color from the water appearing cooked! It’s super fun and interactive and keeps my 3 year old entertained for hours. We love Melissa and Doug and all of their toys are crafted with care and detail and are quality materials and last a lifetime.

I like that the pieces are sturdy and seem like they’ll last a while. There’s so many ways to play and the water element was such a surprise to my toddler as he loves water play. Great addition to our kitchen play set.

Not Their Best
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was hasn’t been my favorite M&D toy. It works just ok and not like the photos show. I also don’t like that it’s a water toy that has felt parts?! That’s just annoying as a mom for a company to think a product aimed at little kids will keep those things dry. My kids have enjoyed playing with it but it’s really not a great one from m&d.

Make eggs, pancakes, bacon and hash browns or mix it up with hamburger and fries, maybe try some onion rings on the side! These powder coated activated by water reveal, show children uncooked to cooked like food accessories and how to have fun with them. Water is activated through the spatula, salt & pepper shaker as well as mustard / ketchup bottle. Bag up your fresh cooked play food for friends and family to go and have fun all year round whether you’re indoors or outdoors!

Wonder set
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let’s take a minute and talk about the packaging. Not only was it appealing but it was so easy to open. I really appreciate it. My grandkids love this set. You add water to the utensils to reveal a more vibrant color on the food. It’s like they are really cooking. Hours of entertainment. Safe for most ages. Easy to assemble and use. I highly recommend it.

The set includes everything kids need to “cook” a full breakfast or lunch, from a pretend spatula and tongs to bacon, eggs, pancakes, and more. The double-sided food items (like pancakes that “cook” on one side) and the realistic flipping motions really engage little hands and imaginations. It also packs up nicely for easy cleanup, which is always a plus. Fun But More of an Outdoor Toy!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Flip & Fry set by Melissa and Doug is a cute toy but definitely messy! It's not a toy I would leave my boys to play with alone unless we're outside. But overall, my boys enjoyed it! I have a 2 and 3 year old and they were both amazed with the food changing looks when they got wet. They both kept fighting over the ketchup bottle rather than the spatula or fryer! What I wasn't too crazy about was the felt cheese/tomato/lettuce. The boys kept trying to put water on them and they just became a watery mess. Would've been nicer if they were plastic. The baggies that came along with the set were cute too but a little useless in my opinion. The spatula also was a little confusing until we realized we had to squeeze it. Aside from that, it was an overall fun toy!

It wasn’t until we started to play with it that we realized it’s also a water toy. He had so much fun with this and keeps coming back to it. Note: good idea to lay a towel down to catch the water.
