A: Hi there! You can count all the fish pieces, or just add up the fish pieces you catch. The colorful fish are numbered so you can sort the fish into groups ( even and odd numbers). The fish pieces feel very sturdy and the magnets are well secured. The fishing rod is made out of sturdy materials too. When winding the "hook" if it is over wound it just winds up the opposite way (it doesn't break).

This is a cute game but could be better. For one thing, the bad to hold all the pieces isn’t really long enough for the fishing poles and the Velcro doesn’t really work. As a parent, these factors are annoying.

As others have mentioned, the string is way too short, so we cut it and tied another string onto it to make it longer and it works well. If they could just make the string longer, it would be perfect! It’s so much fun! He loves playing with it. And I love that it also has a learning/teaching element to it as well.

My 15 month old enjoyed this gift so much! He did manage to break the poles, one he broke in half& the other only broke the rod. BUT DEFINITELY will be buying again! It took him 4 months to break so I think that's pretty durable for him. He absolutely loves it, he doesn't play the game but he loves catching the fish! Thank y'all so much for making an amazing toy! My son is just a wild child.

Bought this for my sons birthday. We love Melissa and Doug usually but within the first day or 2 one of the rods came apart. I happened to buy it in the store instead of online so I can’t easily exchange it because the store is almost an hr away. Only Got 2 stars because my son loves it.
