Georgia Boot is no stranger to crafting quality wedge work boots. The AMP LT 6 wedge lace up boot is built with the same great SPR leather our classic wedges are known for but now includes our premium comfort insole and a high-performance outsole.The upper features combination eyelet and hook hardware, a nylon pull tab for easy on and the Counter Lock System to prevent heel slippage. The interior is unlined and contains a padded counter pocket for additional heel support and the removable AMP LT memory foam insole.The outsole package on this 6 wedge work boot is comprised of a fiberglass shank for added stability, a cushioning EVA midsole, and our proprietary Carbo-Tec rubber. This special rubber gives the outsole great resistance against heat, oil, chemicals and slips.

Great boots with a flaw

These are the most comfortable work boots I've ever had. However, there are two downsides. The insole wears out extremely fast, so be prepared to replace them. Also, I suffer from the same problem someone else did who posted pictures. The tongue on my left boot was sewn in crooked and the tongue slides to the side no matter how I lace the boots or how tight I tie them. It's super annoying and for the price of these boots, one should be able to expect the tongue to stay put.

Uncomfortable

These boots are very well-made and are very good looking. Unfortunately, I am having a hard time breaking these boots in. I had to leave work early yesterday because my feet were hurting so bad. I am having a hard time finding a work boot that I can wear all day long. These definitely were not them.

Meh....

I've had a few Georgia boots and always had good luck, but these feel like they were made by a completely different process. I've had these for a year and (much like other reviewers) my two biggest complaints are the tongue that never stays in place and the SUPER slippery soles on anything but dry concrete. They are the worst soles ever. Super hard and very little traction, which on wet surface causes a lot of problems. I have fallen multiple times on hard surfaces solely because of these boots. I've thought about having a different sole installed, but the boot itself is not worth the cost of swapping out these soles.

Very comfortable

I purchased this pair in August, and am very happy with the style, fit, and comfort, but the left boot's tongue is defective, and it shifts sideways after wearing the boot for a few hours, exposing my ankle/sock. No matter how I lace the boot, or struggle to push the tongue to the correct position, it always shifts. Frustrating.

Great quality

I bought these boots to replace the same boot, but in the 8 inch version that is not offered anymore. I am disappointed in the shorter version. They are not as comfortable as the 8 inch ones because they cut into my ankles.

Comfortable boot, but the tongue does not stay centered at all like me other Georgia boots. I always have to untie my boots, fix it and then retie it. Kind of a hassle.

Great boot

Broke in right out of the box. So far very comfortable. Now the test is how will they hold up in the concrete construction world. As of now would definitely purchase again.

Wonderful work boots!

45 yrs standing on my feet working on cars requires comfort and safety. These are both from the 1st time you put them on. My last work boots were also Georgia Boots. Plan on getting a second pair of these same boots son for beat around pair. Love em!

Love the blue extremely comfortable. Only dislike I have. Is if its icy out these boots do not grip and you will eat it hard. Extra bonus They do not track much if you have to go in and out of clients homes.

Great boot!!! Worth the price!!!

Good looking boot. Soft insole. A little more narrow than the USA round toe. Heel counter feels great. Very little break in required. Seems to be a quality boot. Brass looks a little chunky. Not great on uneven loose dirt but that’s to be expected with the tread pattern. Georgia makes the only steel toe that doesn’t dig into my toes.

At first I loved the soft insole and the padded heal, until I realize the toe box has rubbed my toes raw in one day at work, and I had to get them stretched, but the toe box still bites my toes , and when I walk my foot seems to be slanting deeper into the toe , killing my feet , this has never happened in any other boot.. the other Georgia boot style I have are amazing, since I just bought them there going to be the prettiest and expensive boots never worn in my closet.

Works great for my application

I bought these boots for hiking in the desert and I have to say, they work great! I was wearing a pair of lower top shoes and kept getting gravel and sand in them so I would have to stop, take them off and empty them out from time to time. These boots have a very soft, comfortable, higher top which prevents any sand or gravel from getting in, and also provides good ankle support when snuggly laced. I experienced no heel slipping inside while enjoying ample toe room even with cotton sweat socks. I took them right out of the box, laced them up and hiked 3 or 4 miles in the next two days with no break in problems or discomfort whatsoever. As a snowbird bushwhacking the southern Arizona desert, I couldn’t be happier with these boots!

Comfortable with a good fit.

Have tried work boots from several competing manufacturers. The Georgia Boot LT AMP has a great fit and high comfort level. Materials and craftsmanship seem to be of high quality. Definitely recommend these boots. Requires some break-in time but I feel that is due to using high quality and thicker leather than the competitors.
