The Boatyard, by XTRATUF, is a 100-percent waterproof collection of leather work boots that provides traction, comfort and protection. This 6-inch lace-up boot has a rubber vamp with a saltwater-resisting full-grain leather upper that develops a patina over time. Inside the boots have a breathable waterproof membrane and a Shaped EVA insole. These lightweight boots have same XTRATUF non-marking, slip-resisting Chevron outsole as their rubber counterparts.

Cheap, and manufacturing in a different factory

Worst Xtratuf I've had yet from. Sole separated with in the first week, the rubber completely peeled right off and they leak… Now I'm wear xtratuf legacy boots nearly every day, in fact I have 3 pairs, insulated, non, and 6”. The legacy boot is honestly the only good shoe/boot Xtratuf if you like having dry feel.

Not the best bang for your buck

Very nice boot but thought they would last longer than 2 months. Also, they are not waterproof. Maybe water resistant but no where’s close to water proof

Beware, casual wear only.

Had these for about a year, only a few times a week and not under heavy working conditions, pretty casual wear. Look great and are comfortable. Poor rating is because the speed lace hooks don't bite the lace, waterproof only up to the bottom eyelet (about 2" of water) and the ripped it multiple spots.

Pros and cons

Great looking shoe and even feels great on the foot but I have worn twice and the to protector piece is already starting to peel off. As a “work boot” I would not expect this quality from Xtratuf however I will continue buying from them based on my other good experiences. I give the boot a 5 on looks and comfort and a 2 on durability

Great light duty waterproof boots for casual wear

Excellent boots! I bought these for walking and riding my bike during rainy days in Seattle. The waterproofing works well enough, though I need to re-wax the leather now. I have not had any of the sole separation that was mentioned in other reviews. Overall I wouldn't do any wading in these but they hold up to splashes and mild submersion, and they're comfortable to wear around all day.

Made with low quality material. Shoe lace hooks broke within 10 wears and I’ve about had it with XtraTurd and their overpriced low quality boots.

Love the look and style and they are more comfortable then their standard boots but after about 15 wears the bottoms is coming apart and makes them look crappy probably won’t make it another 15 wears. Will report back

Boo!

I bought these and on the first try on, the laces holders snapped clean off. Great looking boot, but was very disappointed in quality.

Good not great

Good boot, but has a few issues. Laces have trouble staying in the top hooks around ankle unless you tie it very tight. They really aren’t waterproof either. Especially if water in over an inch it leaks right through the laces. Still a good quality boot.

Very disappointed.

For a pair of boots built to withstand the outdoors I am disappointed. Wore them one time on grass and the rubber on the sole was coming off. Contrast this with a pair of Vans that I have worn for five years and the Vans are hands down better suited for outdoor use and much better constructed. I bought these for a trip to Sitka next week. Kind of doubt they will stand up to my transfer in Atlanta.

Love these kicks

These shoes are great! Great grip considering they’re flat bottoms, quality is superb. Totally waterproof. And comfortable, even though they’re flat bottom , they have good support and easy to slip on if you leave them a little loose. I really dig these. The colors are really well thought out too.
