Men's Georgia Giant High Romeo Waterproof Steel Toe Boot

Just received the shoe and they are not as normal Romeos are for fit/comfort. Have tried to wear them for a day and unsatisfied. I always wear an 11.5 Wide in a normal Romeo shoe. 11.5 wide in these are longer in size and slip my heel constantly causing friction. The toe box is extremely tight to where I'm worried if I got a size down my feet wouldn't fit. Not the same comfort as a normal Romeo shoe.

Have had to return back to back Romeo's for poor quality control. The first pair had a curved in steel toe on the right boot. And the second pair had major tears and dents in the leather right out the box. Their quality control is non existent. Do yourself a favor/headache and buy elsewhere.

I have worn these boots nearly everyday for the last 8 years. I work in heavy industry so I originally got them to meet a steel toe requirement. I picked them out because I love slip on shoes and I remember as a teen overhearing some cranky old geezer say they were “the best f***ing boots in the world”. As an adult now, I can attest that he was right. They have been the most durable and comfortable footwear I have ever owned. On top of wearing them for work, I have reroofed my house, poured concrete, felled trees, and dug trenches all in this one pair. I even survived eastern Washington snow storms in them. After all that, so many years later, I am still confident that they are comfortable enough to go on a 5 mile walk with my pups. From the photos you can see that I have pushed these sad piles of leather past their prime, but that’s why I am writing this review. I am finally looking to get a second pair and it made me think back on how amazing these boots have actually been for me. Cheers Georgia Boot. You’ve made something great.

the toe box is much narrower compared to the Rome slip on shoe. both being the same size 9w. why is that?

I really like these boots. They have a classic style. Easy to slip on and off on those early mornings. I have a desk job in a manufacturing plant - I only walk maybe 4,000 steps a day at work - I have worn these 5 days a week for 8 months and the inner Achilles heel area fabric have worn through. I bought some heel saver sticky pads to help them last a bit longer. That is a bummer and I hope they will be improved

I've been wearing Georgia boots every day for 9 years. They normally last about a year before i need i new pair. However, the boots that i got about five months ago are already starting to fall apart on the inner heel area. Very disappointed. Switching brands.

Had these for 2 days. Socks were soggy and toes were wet. Super unfortunate because of the industry I work in. I was really hoping this would be the perfect boot!

I purchased a regular and wide width of this boot. I don't usually wear wide shoes, but I thought I'd try them after reading the reviews. I was shocked at how narrow even the wide width was. At first I thought I had gotten the boxes mixed up and had just tried the regular width on a second time, because the difference was almost imperceptible. If my feet were narrower, I would have loved the boots. They seem like good quality, and actually were not hard to put on even though they were too narrow. I tried another pair of Georgia boots that had this really rough stitching around the heel that hurt my feet. These weren't rough on the inside at all. I wish they were just a little wider. Georgia Boot -- please make the wide size of this actually wider than the narrow size!

I've worn these boots about 6 days per week for approximately 7 months. The soles are still good, as are the leather uppers. The elastic is beat up a bit...but the lining in the heel area is destroyed in one boot and has a hole in the other. I believe this to be the result of the ankle/heel area being too voluminous (one of my initial review observations...it's a shame because the rest of the boot fits fine). Anyways...I guess it's time for a different model of work boots. Wish I could get these lined in leather and resoled with Christy wedge soles!

My boots are now at least 3 years old. I can't even remember when I got them. At first I hated them because they were tight and stiff and the insoles were cheap. It took at least a year and a new set of insoles but now they're my go-to boot. They're beat up, the liners stink to high heaven like cat urine (I don't have cats) and I can't figure out what to use to get rid of the smell, but a coat of boot polish and buff and they look decent again. I'm on here shopping for a new pair but only because they stink. A new insole and they'd last another few years until the sole wore through.

2nd time bought ,like them that much.Would recommend to anyone

REPLACEMENT FROM ORIGINAL ORDER, SAME BOOT AS FIRST ORDERED BUT WAS ABLE TO PULL THESE ON UNLIKE THE FIRST.

I bought these for my husband for work. He does road construction on a milling crew. He likes that they are comfortable and water proof. Very durable as well.

second day wearing, the right shoe became lose to the point of flopping around on my foot. as though the leather expanded!!! please advise,

Extremely comfortable with no break in period. Boots shipped fast!

I have been wearing this boot for 3 days now and am generally happy with my choice. The boot is well made, with good materials, sturdy, and comfortable. The leather is flexible and comfortable right out of the box and will get better with age and conditioning. My only criticism is that I feel that the fit is a bit sloppy/loose in the heel and ankle portion and perhaps a bit narrow at the widest part of the foot. On the whole, I'm pleased for the present time, will continue to wear them and reevaluate as I go.

This is the same exact style we had to wear in the Navy for using Liquid Oxygen to refill aircraft . The only difference being ( that I can tell by reading ) is that these are made of Polyurethane and the Navy's had to be made of pure black leather and we couldn't use any polish at all since polish was a fire and explosive hazard when in contact with LOX . I've been wanting a pair of pull on boots for some time, and these fit the bill. Comfortable and easy on and off, good looking too! The steel toes will add protection when I'm doing chores. They are labeled as waterproof and I haven't tested that yet. I am confident they will perform well.
