They Came Just in time for the cold weather to hit the East coast. They kept my feet warm and comfortable standing for hours through 20 degree temps followed by snow. Only issue is they cause my feet to sweat and slightly cold but still manageable. For areas with 20-40 F Temps , they pay for themselves.
Comfy but terrible, don’t buy for winter

I purchased my first pair of alpha force 400g insulated boots this year because I was tired of cold feet. I’m a Canadian law enforcement officer working in a patrol capacity. As such I’m in the elements fairly continually and feel I can provide a pretty well rounded opinion on their performance. First the good. Probably one of the most comfortable boots I’ve worn. Additionally despite our lovely Canadian winters I have yet to have cold feet this year (which is a first). They’re also probably the first winter boot I’ve owned that I’ve been able to run somewhat properly in. Now the bad. They are the most slippery boot I’ve ever owned. As soon as you touch any amount of snow or ice you’re on the pavement. I’ve slid between cars on traffic stops and most recently fallen flat on my back on the ice. I think even my old hanwags were better and they’re a glorified horse shoe.

Great Boots, Great Quality

I ordered these boots looking for something versatile to wear in all weather, especially with snow in mind. The boots looked great, and reminded me of my years in the military! I put them on and shoved the snow right after putting a couple coats of polish. They are great! I walked a mile to the store, and they felt great on my feet. These boots are so well made and the quality is better than what I was issued in basic. I wish I would have known about this company years ago, because I doubt I'll order from anyone different in the future.
Great look, but!

I bought the 6 inch boot prior and I have to say it was one of the most comfortable boots I've worn. I just bought the 8 inch boot with side zip and it almost feels like there's no inside cushion. The zip on the right boot malfunctions from time to time, but other than that good boot for the money!

I purchased this boot in anticipation of a very cold winter. As a mail carrier, I am out in the cold all day walking most of the time. I have been wearing them now for about a month and love them. They are very warm and super comfortable. These boots are ready to wear on a long hike right out of the box. They are every bit as waterproof as advertise. The sizes are right on, I have a 9.5 foot and the 9.5 boot fit perfectly. The tread is very nice and aggressive enough to handle any terrain. I have worn boots through my 20 plus years of service, and this is by far the best insulated, waterproof all day walking boot I have ever used. The only downside to these boots (and it is only a downside because I like to have my boots on very tight) is that they are a bit difficult to lace up very tight. It takes a little extra effort to get them on tight, but once they are on, you are super comfortable and warm all day.

Not even a month old and the glue holding the toe box to the sole is coming unglued. Unbelievable for the price I paid that they couldn't last longer than 30 days. Unreal. Terrible plastic piece that digs into your heel. I had to tape up the toes. I will never buy another pair of these shoes, and I'll make sure everyone that's looking for boots knows to avoid these.

I purchased these boots last year. One year later they still look new. They are warm and dry in Buffalo weather which ranges from sloppy mud to blizzards. The side zipper makes them quick on and off. After long days on hard surfaces my feet are not sore in these boots, but they are sore when I wear other boots. My daughter needed boots for work and college where she is inside and outside all day. I bought her a pair for Christmas this year, she tried them on and walked straight out the door to hang with her friends. For a teenage girl to like anything says a lot.

I have worn Rocky boots before. I purchased these because of the price drop and wanted a new pair of insulated for the the upcoming winter months. These were comfortable right out of the box! I cannot yet comment on durability. As someone else stated in their review, I ordered a 1/2 size bigger to account for the insulation.

Wife bought me these last year. Great boot great fit. 2 complaints. 1st is don't expect them to shine whatsoever. 2nd after 1 winter In Pennsylvania the soles near the toe tip began separating from the leather. Luckily there's a talented shoe maker in my area. Fellow Officers all say wear and invest in Danner or Southwest Boot Company. Pay more but American made. After 29 yrs. in Law Enforcement now you'd think Id learn.

I bought these boots two winters ago. They have been a fantastic boot for Michigan weather. My feet stay warm wearing a ski sock with them 12+ hours for my shift. The traction on the bottom is great for snow and ice. You can't go wrong with these. I have never had any issues with the zippers. Getting ready to buy my next pair.

The boots are comfortable and keep my feet dry and warm. I live in Maine, so they have to put up with lots of snow, slush, and cold. These boots come through on all points. I've only two complaints. (1) The lining alongside the zipper on my right boot is torn up because the material got stuck in the zipper when I first started wearing the boot. Now, whenever I zip my boot, I have to insert my finger directly underneath the zipper to keep the lining from getting caught. This is major hassle, and makes putting it on a tad challenging. (2) The laces on both boots have frayed in a couple spots, so the the inner cord that makes up the heart of the lace is poking through. I've only had these boots since December, so I'm troubled that these two issues have happened in less than three months of wear. However, these issues in way affect the overall performance of the boots. Once I have them on, I can head outside to snow blow, get up on the roof to remove snow, or whatever. When I'm on ice, I feel that the tread is more secure and provides a better grip. I'd love to give these boots five stars, but the torn lining and frayed laces force me to knock two stars off.

Comfortable, warm, however zippers are very stiff, while zipping up boot actually got caught on the leather and tore. Zipper became stuck, had to use pliers to get zipper unstuck.... Need to redesign zipper itself.
