Great for long shifts

I bought these boots over a year ago and love how they have held up. I work 12 hrs shifts (so I'm in them roughly 14ish hours a day). I have a lot of foot problems so I wear custom inserts (they fit perfectly), the polish on the toes has held up with minimal scratching, the shoes wear like sneakers. I've worn a lot of different types of boots over the years and I can appreciate that these are more like regular shoes I'd wear day to day versus a taller structured boot (especially on the ankles). I definitely am going to buy another pair of these when the time comes

Great Boots

I really like these boots. I saw one of my officers wearing them and I really liked the way they looked so I decided to give them a try. I have heard a few different reviews about them. One of the bad reviews was the plastic lace holders break. Well I have had them for over a year now and the boot is still good to go! The again I am a Lieutenant and no longer an officer in the field. I can say this boot works great for me. I will be purchasing the higher zipper version of the boot this year. I will be posting a review on this soon.

Great boots

I have had these boots since April 2021, and besides a slight squeak in the soles on certain flooring types, mainly heavily waxed floors, I have not had any issues. With the 5” boot you can barely tell they are boots, I feel like I am wearing a pair of shoes. I have not experienced any of the toe discomfort many people talk about. The soles have normal wear compared to boots made nowadays.

I ordered my boots in October and I was later informed that because of a backlog I won't get them until March. I hope they worth the wait.

Good fit, but ankles bruised, broken plastic

Good fit. I wear a size 7.5 sneaker and these boots started at a size 8. Ordered the size 8. Place where the top two lace holders are, INTENSE ankle bruising, nerve hitting from the inside of the boot. Backside of the plastic lace holders near the top of the boot are what makes wearing these boots painful. One of the plastic lace holders has already snapped off. In order to wear the boots, I do not use the top two lace holders, that way my ankles are not getting bruised all the time. You can still feel it from time to time, but then with the long laces, you have to tuck them into your boots, which means at some point during your shift, they will find their way to the bottom of your feet. I walk a few miles each shift. If these boots were better constructed, as in some way of protecting your ankles, they'd be fine. Also, the top two plastic lace holders have to go. I believe all around, this is the issue. Looks are fine. Fit is fine. But the unrelenting pressure / bruising to my ankles is absolutely ridiculous for a 105 dollar pair of boots. I've been wearing patrol boots most of my life. Military, state officer, and now security gigs.

Not comfortable

I bought these boots about 2 months ago and have found them very uncomfortable. They are too tight in the toe area even though I ordered half a size bigger. Would not recommend these to anyone who walks a lot.

Great Boot

I've had one pair for about a year and a half. I work armed security at a hospital and these boots have been perfect. The plastic stay shine does crack after alot of use. I recommend them to everyone, haven't had a single problem. I've got through about 5 boots in 5 years at the hospital and Rocky Code Blue is my go to now. Other brands fell apart quickly and these have been rock solid other than the cracks, cosmetic from alot of use. I sent Rocky a Facebook message on how I would fix the cracks in a version 2 of the boots. Buy them I promise you won't be disappointed

I bought this boots several months ago, and will buy them again. The only issue I had with them was I couldn’t use the top loop because it made the ankle area sore, but I don’t wear shoes over the ankle. I’ve been in law enforcement for 20 years and these are the most comfortable shoe I’ve purchased. I’ve received a lot of compliments from male and female officers. I will be purchasing them again.

Disappointed

I work in corrections, so I walk a lot, I like the style of the boot, but I am disappointed, because this is not a boot to walk in for hours, the boot rubs on my baby toe, ouch, and I wish the insole had better cushion in it and a thicker heel. It looks good when I wear my dress uniform.

The boots are very comfortable the plastic hooks used to lace at the top of the boot are cheap plastic and mine broke after one month of use. They seemed like great boots until this happened light weight and comfortable.

Very comfortable but....

These shoes are very very comfortable. The soles give great cushion and give you the ability to be on your feet for 12 hours a day. However the problem with these boots is the fact that they have plastic eyelets at the top. After wearing these for 12 hours I found that the plastic eyelets are resting against my ankle bone and they have no padding there so after a little white it starts to hurt really bad. I had to get a knife and pry them out they were hurting my ankle so bad. I have no complaints with these boots other than the plastic eyelets. I wish rocky would have stuck with regular lace holes like they have on the lower laces. Hopefully they will do that on the 2.0’s. Love the boots but hate the eyelets at the top.
