This is by far one of the best boots I have worn on my feet. I would venture to say that they are more comfortable than my Danner Acadias that have seen the worst a patrol officer can hand out to a pair of boots. I am on my feet often for hours at a time. These boots have seen everything from desert quail hunting to the snow of the pine country on the late season elk hunt. I also wear them on the range doing instructor work in all conditions. If Rocky would make this boot in black, I would absolutely use them for patrol use. My one and only concern has been seeing separation on the inside of both soles between the rubber sole and the bottom of the boot. I haven't noticed it affecting performance but am concerned if it keeps separating. Is there a solution to this Rocky?

I wore combat boots for 38 years. Most issue boots suck! The most comfortable were the old green/black jungle boots. When I started buying my own, Danner was the way to go. But, when the AF went to stupid sage green, just before I retired, Danner didn't have them, yet. Desert suede Danner weren't as comfortable as the old black Acadia. Had mine resoled, till they were just to worn out. Started looking and saw the Rocky Elk Stalker 1000g. I always used to get cold feet...used to! The Elk Stalkers are awesome. Comfortable all day long and always warm! Wish I'd had them in uniform. My feet would be in better shape! Bonus, I believe they're mostly made in the USA! Would have given 5 stars, but the speed lacers and the tongue are just a bit misaligned on the Right boot. Picky?
