- Unique air spring drive system
Description
The NR1890DCSTM 18V Cordless Paper Strip Framing Nailer completely raises the bar for cordless framing nailers. It is designed so you no longer need dirty hoses, loud compressors, or expensive gas cartridges. It's equipped with Hitachi's unique Air Spring Drive System that delivers similar performance as a pneumatic nailer but offers total cordless freedom. It uses sealed compressed air to drive each nail, which results in zero ramp-up time, up to 2 nails driven per second, recoil that feels like a pneumatic nailer, and best of all, there is no refilling of the air tank required. This cordless nailer is ideal for all construction framing applications but is particularly useful for punch-out work on a job site for quick in-and-out operation with minimal hassle and professional results.

I had previously used the gas powered orange framing nailers and when they left me stranded on a job I was done. I looked at the Metabo nailer and since all my drivers, drills and router is Metabo it was a no brainer. I purchased it and honestly it performed 10x's better than i could have asked. I was really surprised at how much power this battery driven framing nailer had. Used for 2 days straight all day and it never missed a beat. I would definitely buy again and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a portable framing nailer. The lifetime warranty is an added bonus.
30• nailer works great, plus your arms get HUGE!

Cordless nailers and miter saws convinced me to switch to Metabo HPT from the teal tools. Cordless nailers are heavy and built well. Way easier than chasing a hose and power for the compressor. Buy yourself one, you’re welcome.
So convenient

I have had this for a few months now. So nice not having to have a compressor and hose in remote lactations is awesome. Adding the extended magazine makes it even better

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My deck wasn’t great, so I needed a framing nailer to start. After reviewing my other tool brand, their nailers didn’t review well. I went with a Metabo 18 gauge brad nailer that I was very happy with, so decided to try the Metabo framing nailer as well (I don’t mind having two battery ecosystems, at 3 you are a monster). Ended up rebuilding the deck and saved myself a ton of money. I sistered or replaced several joists, and I don’t know if I even lost one bar of battery life. Highly recommend!

No more hose and compressor, the future is here! I am very happy with my framing nailer and Metabo HPT service. The nailer was not setting nails completely shortly after I purchased it last year, it was fixed and returned promptly by the service department and is performing well now. There is a new and improved Hikoki model available now that is lighter and hopefully it will become available in North America, that will be a 5 star rating!

I bought this over a year ago and am thrilled with how well it works. No jams... None! Drives nails home with power and the battery lasts a very long time. It is well built and well balanced. Best nailer I've ever used.
Great nailer, heavy but convenient

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using the nailer since 2023 on new builds, Reno’s and decks, it’s held up well but is due for a recharge. Run time is good with one of the the bigger batteries. Noticeable weight difference from a cordless paslode, but no gas is a huge plus.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this nailer back in 2022. It has served me well and it is still going Strong. I’ve also got the Dewalt 20 V nailer this nailer has a lot better fire rate as well as better run time. The only complaint I would have is the massive rafter hook that comes on it. It ended up sharing off about a year ago so I had to replace that with the smaller one .

Brought my first battery operated framing nailer about a month ago and I am very pleased I went with metabo-hot. It’s been a beast as I’m doing lots of back framing right now at work. No malfunctions or jams, and the weight of the tool is evenly distributed making it nice and comfortable to hold. I will be investing in all the metabo battery powered nailers as time goes on. 10/10 great tool.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this thinking I’d only use it for small framing tasks. I use this unit to frame and entire house. Love it pull out and turn on. Don’t have to worry about hoses. Upgraded the magazine to hold 2 clips. Unbelievable unit. Had to buy the refill valve which was easy to top back up. Unit was back to new!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this nailer to build a chicken coop and an attached 30’x30’ run. I used a countless number of nails and the batter is still charged. The nailer is lightweight but still feels well built, definitely comfortable to use all day. The angle and shape of this nailer makes it easy to reach into tight spaces. Not having air hoses around the job site is a game changer and it’s much quieter than my air nailer.

Great framing nailer! Usually I go with a brand thats red and is a city in Wisconsin, but after doing my research and reading reviews. I choose the metabo 18v 3.5" 30* and im so glad I did. Love the bump fire feature, the easy dept setting, longevity of the battery lasting all day. Great gun at great price backed with a great warranty.
