The EC28M is Metabo HPT first quiet compressor that features an industrial oil-free pump that not only provide high durability, but also delivers maintenance free operation. The motor is protected by an overload protection circuit that cuts off power in the case of an overload situation. Weighing just 25.2 lbs. and designed with an ergonomically shaped rubber carrying handle, the EC28M is easy to transport around any jobsite. The steel roll cage protects the steel encased industrial gauges and all other critical components. The EC28M has a zero set-up time, and is ready to plug and play straight out of the box.
Ultra-quiet operation at only 59 dB: so quiet that a normal conversation can take place while the compressor is cycling and the compressor sound is barely noticeable

Warranty Registration needs upgrade.
Warranty registration online is not up to standard. No confirmation email like Dewalt and other professional companies. Hopefully not an issue if something goes wrong.

Reset switch keeps going off, replaced the breaker, now ordered the pressure switch, if this isn’t the problem.. it’s junk yard time.. 1.5 years old

Great Products
Used the Metabo HPT EC28M for the first time today to inflate a low tire. I did the 10 minute breatin run then closed the tank and let in fill to max psi. Very quiet running, sufficient volume to fill any tire. Runs great, just like my Metabo battery screwdriver.

Compact, quiet, and portable.
This is a very useful small compressor. I love the convenience of carrying it to my back porch to replace some damaged screens using a stapler and brad nailer. And using my airbrush for various craft projects. And now, the car tires and bike tires are easily inflated. I'm very happy with the Metabo, and yes, it is quiet!

Super quiet!
Bought this to replace an aging Fini Scout. Honestly shocked at how quiet it is. I think my refrigerator is louder than this compressor. Easily handles my finishing nailers.

Just a toy

My First Compressor
I needed a compressor that was quiet, unassuming, compact, light and easy to use and this product out shawn it's competition. I need a compressor to blow spiders out of my ductless AC waterline, clean grass out of hard to reach areas of my riding mower, air filters and more. More than satisfied with my latest purchase.

Light weight and well made.
We I first opened the box I thought this compressor was going to be too small. Turns out it’s perfect. Especially for a DIY guy who works at a reasonable pace. It wouldn’t keep up with a professional who’s firing a lot more brad nails in a short period of time. Besides being light weight, it’s also very quiet. I use this in multiple buildings and it’s easy to load and unload from my truck.

It's the second one I have purchased. The first one only lasted a little over 2 years. When I called about replacement parts for the motor/compressor, I was told that you could only buy the whole unit. Which was almost the same cost as a new unit. So that's what I did. I liked the weight and quietness
