Metabo HPT G12SR4M 6.2 Amp 4-1/2 in. Angle Grinder

Good grinder, price good, works well. Switch for power is a little tricky

Not bad at all, for the price. Never know when you will need this. The power button is a little clunky and a rubberized push on/off with lock would be nicer, for safety and quickly being able to turn off. One must pull off and away to stop leever button downward, this is not always possible, especially if in a jam. I like it, feels ergonomically comfortable that I can control the machine. And sturdy.

I'm impressed with the quality of this product and it was the lowest price in the store.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this pack as a promo deal. Pleasantly surprised with the power for a 6amp. I use it on jobs occasionally for modest metal/masony cutting and grinding and it gives me plenty of power especially for the price.

I’ve had it for a few years now and it has come in clutch many times. It’s outworked my coworkers DeWalt and Bosch grinders. 10/10 would recommend

I own several Metabo power tools. This grinder works like it should but the switch is inexcusable. It is difficult to manipulate and in the wrong location. This was the ONLY angle grinder available at the local store.

This little grinder is amazing for the price. Comes with case and grinding discs. Great for extra grinder in shop for welding projects.

I purchased this grinder about 6 months ago. Grinder works great except for the on / off switch. It is very cumbersome and difficult to operate, expressly with gloves.

I like to have several 4-1/2" grinders to avoid changing the wheels often. For the price, it was hard to believe that this could be good, but it is. In fact, it does everything my "yellow" brand machines do, cost less than half as much, and the quality case is a very nice extra. I like this so much, I bought a second one. 6.2 amps doesn't sound like a lot, but this has plenty of power for applications where I want a small, lightweight machine. I use a larger grinder for heavier jobs, but the little guys handle 90% of what I do. I use this mostly for cutting, beveling and squaring up steel and aluminum for TIG welding, wire brushing, with flap disk wheels and rigid cutting and grinding wheels. This is comparable to a "yellow", "blue" or "red" tool from the major manufacturers, and a much better choice than a throw away grinder from the "freight place".

on off switch was hard to press and slide,on second attempt it locked in on position,had to unplug to stop

But this about a month ago I've used it once in an outside light pole to take care of all the rust and it worked perfect. No problems. Good item

Bought this kit as a backup and found I use it more than the other.

It has a nice, solid feel in the hands and plenty of power for what I do for my projects. The case and included discs rounded out my purchase decision. The whole package didn't break the bank either which was a great surprise! Quality stuff here that I'm happy I came across. Thanks!

Bought this recently and put it to work on some small metal-cutting and grinding tasks. Performance is good overall. It bogs down a bit in heavier applications, but as a medium-duty homeowner or tradesperson's tool, it delivers.

This angle grinder is a quality tool at a bargain price. It has been a great addition to my work bench. I have used it several times for cutting, grinding, and sanding hardened steel. I could not have done without it on some of my projects.

I bought the Metabo HPT G12SR4 4 1/2" angle grinder honestly not thinking it would be decent - boy was I wrong! Right out of the hard case it came in this thing preformed top-notch. I have used it to grind and cut steel, sand wood, and resurface a complete basement walls and floor. The angle is comfortable and works very well on all tasks. The price is amazing as well. I highly recommend this!!

Have used this grinder for several applications around the tractor and ATVs for mods and does the job.
