Purchased this for my son in anticipation to see the movie. It was really fun to connect all the components and he loved the details. Lots of reviews complained about not being able to see the dinosaur (we got mosasaurus) but if you give it some time to “incubate,” you’ll be able to see it perfectly. So my suggestion for best results is to have some patience and enjoy the experience!

It is not worth the price. Instructions had us mix a powder and a liquid into a dino chamber and that was it. Nothing happened or changed. I expected more for the price. Very disappointed. I was able to see the dinosaur before adding more liquid or the shimmering powder. Don't waste your money!

I didn’t like it at all it’s the worst product that I ever tried Because when I tried to open it, it didn’t work, but then we did open it. It wasn’t even a surprise. I already see the figure inside it. Everything exploded when I was trying to get something to work didn’t even work. I regret by buying this. One star

I really wanted to like this but the product is lacking and not worth the asking price. I read the reviews prior to purchase and assumed that because I was a huge JP fan I could overlook some issues folks had with the product. Now that the product is in my possession I can say that the majority of those complaints are valid. The moment I opened it I knew it was going to be a disappointment, the liquid in casing the dinosaur figure didn't fill the container and I could easily see the figure, completely ruining the mystery unvieling aspect. Regardless I followed the instructions to see if the process itself would elevate the toy...it didn't. In fact nothing changed, it's exactly how it looked when I opened it, just with some glitter that was included as an ingredient. If this was a $5 item I wouldn't have that much of an issue, but for $12 it should be avoided at all costs!

The idea is cute but definitely not worth the money. I bought 3 of these as it was a first and both my daughter and I love Jurassic World. We were hoping to get Blue in one of the Miniverses however the first one we opened was a capsule which was disappointing and you couldn't see the dino as the liquid was dark and after adding the "dry DNA" and activator "liquid DNA" it made it worse. The other 2 were eggs and both different, however the baby dinosaurs don't even sit so that they can be seen with ease and this purchase was just an all around disappointment and waste of money. It is honestly really sad when a child is diagnosed in the reveal, especially when they were expecting to see it as they appeared in the promoting video shown before purchasing. If i had to sum it up honestly i would honestly say it was falsely advertised. I get wanting to make a buck however this one was poorly executed and as this one was a first i do not even want to get a different one down the road of miniverse for my daughter. 🦕

My 7 year old son was pretty disappointed with this mini verse. It didn’t do/create anything cool. He has watched his sister do many Mini Verse over the years and was expecting a creation like he has seen her do, but this toy did not deliver.

So these seem to be acid base activated and have been not working for a LOT of people. Possibly because of heat exposure on trucks during shipping. Here are some tips if you're combing the reviews because yours didn't work. If yours came with mica powder (powder DNA) do not add more than a teeny pinch! Like a half spoon tops! Or you will not be able to see the dino. If the activator doesn't work try adding a tiny squirt of white vinegar. If even that fails remove some liquid and add distilled water until you can see the dino. Some have mineral oil globules in as well and they just cling to the dinosaurs, obstructing view. Flush the egg with water and soap then add distilled water and dye yourself. I dunno what toy CEO doofus thought oil globules in a plastic toy would be a good idea. I hope that helps!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was an interesting project. The MGA's Miniverse Mini Dinosaurs Jurassic World feels like a little science experiment. It requires careful following of the instructions. It wasn't quite what we expected but it was fun. We are still trying to figure out what the picture of shaving cream has to do with this project. We had fun adding the ingredients to the egg and cracking the egg to reveal the inner egg. It was fun to watch the dinosaur be revealed. It has a cool display that goes great with the overall theme. Not for little children but fun for older kiddos.

It is definitely not worth $10. The container was positioned slanted so we had to remove the egg to open the container. The color also did not fade away. I’d purchase one but no more than that.

There really wasn’t a big “reveal” both of the ones my boys opened were already visible. Adding the stuff was fun but it would have been more fun if it worked correctly. My boys were disappointed that the Dino’s don’t actually come out.

Liked how cute these are. For the dark colored liquid you do have to use white vinegar, just a few drops, to change the color. While the design could be better and they could put out more t Rex capsules and more in circulation in general, these are adorable. Check out tips and tricks on social media on these other similar products. It helps with making them.

I now have a complete collection of finished eggs and incubators and 5 duplicates that I have ‘broken out’ to have the hatchlings inside. I love them! They require a bit of finesse- but these are honestly the easiest minis to make so far. I have had a 100% success rate. Some advice: 1) use one scoop of glitter instead of two. You’ll have more visibility. 2) fill the egg or incubator as full as possible- you should have only a small air bubble when reassembled. If you have a large air bubble, this likely means you did not add enough “dna” for the chemical reaction to clear up. No air bubble at all? Might be too full for the oil based “bubble ones” to shake well. 3) Shake thoroughly. This will clear up the incubator etc. The oil based ones will become almost gelatinous - that is ok! Let them sit, and the oil will settle out where you can see the hatchling inside we’ll. 4) Don’t like how they’re posed inside? Use a toothpick to rotate before adding extra material (as soon as you open the container).

I cannot recommend the MGA Miniverse Make It Mini Dinosaurs due to glaring quality control issues. The plastic “metal grate” platforms included in both capsules I purchased were improperly sized—too small to securely snap into place. This results in unstable displays where the eggs or test tubes constantly topple with the slightest movement, which is both frustrating and unacceptable for a collectible meant to be assembled and showcased. The included powder system for “embryo creation” could’ve been a highlight, but it’s poorly calibrated. The instructions suggest using “1 to 3 scoops,” a vague and wildly inconsistent range. I followed this guidance and used 1.5 scoops for each figure—yet both ended up cloudy and difficult to see, despite careful mixing. It feels like the quantities weren’t tested properly before release. In short: the product lacks the precision and care that collectors and kids alike deserve. A cool idea let down by sloppy manufacturing and incomplete instructions.
