Book Synopsis

"Rupi Kaur is the Writer of the Decade." - The New Republic

The book is divided into four chapters, and each chapter serves a different purpose. Deals with a different pain. Heals a different heartache. milk and honey takes readers through a journey of the most bitter moments in life and finds sweetness in them because there is sweetness everywhere if you are just willing to look.

I loved this book, I actually just finished it a second ago. I recommend this book for 16+ as it does have sensitive subjects, make sure you do some reading a bit before buying so this doesn’t make you uncomfortable.

Rupi speaks to my soul! Their use of language, organic streams of thought, and inclusivity in approach to grammar and structure is a 10/10! I highly recommend this to everyone!

this is a terrible representation of poetry. i understand the power that writing has towards trauma healing…but this was a slap in the face for someone who has experienced SA. my experience is not an aesthetic. there is absolutely no talent in this writing. you are left empty with no thought or emotion to ponder. don’t waste your time (like 30 min max to finish this terrible excuse for poetry/writing) or money.

I love this book, and it came quickly and it nice condition, and actually at a much cheaper price compared to other sites where I'd check this book out. BUT! The target sticker would not budge, which made me super upset because this book is beautiful both inside AND out, and the sticker had ruined the cover. Luckily overtime I found an alcohol prepping pad wipe, and it removed the sticky residue and what was left of the sticker easily!

Ugly sticker on book!

The review is pertaining to Target, not the book. The book is great.. but Target ruined it with a 20% off sticker. Literally you can’t remove the sticker residue from the book. Why Target why?
